Imagine if Ren didn't die when fighting Emile, what if he won? What if when Shay was closing the rift the packs didn't go through the expected change to full wolf? Story will be set mainly in Ren, Calla, and Shay's POV.

Calla

I closed my eyes. Waiting to see if shay will be with me when my eyes open. After what seemed like a lifetime I opened my eyes to shocked searcher and guardian faces.

"Did you do it Shay?" I ask him, seeing shock and happiness on his face. "Shay?" I ask again.

"Yes I closed it," He said, running over and hugging me.

I hugged him aggressively, my mind wandering. How did this happen. Why aren't we wolves?

"How is this possible?" Connor says, looking around at everyone. "Well, someone needs to explain this to me because I can't!"

"Maybe this is your true form," Ethan says, getting shocked and confused faces from the rest of us.

"Pray tell," Adne says, hugging connor close to herself.

"Since they've been shifters for decades maybe they use natural magic to shift now?" Ethan looks at me. "Alpha can you still shift?"

I imagine myself as the snow colored wolf, my hearing sharpened, my sight advanced, my smell a weapon. When I open my eyes I see paws and fur.

"Wow," Shay says.

I shift back and look at Anika.

"Does that mean we get to stay?" I looked at her hopefully.

"Yes," Anika said. "We'll have to train you with actual weapons also but, you could be very valuable warriors,"

My pack cheered with happiness, Every one of my pack where holding someone, including myself. I look up and see Shay, I lean forward and kiss him.

"Shay," I heard shay's parents say, " We have so much to tell you," Shay looked up from me.

"Tomorrow please," He said.

"Of course," They both left, bidding us goodbye. Anika put a hand on connor's shoulder.

"We should all rest, We'll celebrate tomorrow!" Anika said. "We'll drink, eat, dance, and smile. For now we have eliminated a great threat known as Bosque Mar!"

Cheer went through the pack and searchers. Everyone happily leaving to their own rooms.

Later that night I was awaken by the dipping of the bed.

"It's just me Calla," Shay said,"Can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Of course," I say while Shays arm hold me close to him.

"I love you," Shay said before drifting into sleep.

With the boy I loved arms wrapped around me I fell asleep, thinking of a love I lost in battle.
