Ok, this was originally supposed to be my round to submission in Ba Sing Sa Badgermoles, but it got longer and way more than just a one shot. So you can expect lots more in this story.
I don't own LOK.
There was a time where only a few privileged people had the gift. Maybe ten of each kind. Some might control the winds, floating from place to place just like the air they bent.
Some could command water to do whatever they wished, freezing it to fit their surroundings, or turning it to steam with a flick of their wrist.
Some moved rocks at will. They could construct, or destroy anything anyone could imagine.
Some possessed the Power of the flames. Often hot headed, these people could create a flame in the palm of their hand, grow it, and make it disappear.
While these people were few, it might seem obvious that they would never meet. No bender would ever meet a different element master. But, against all odds, it happened.
Four people together. All four different, with a unique gift.
Avi was one of these people, able to bend fire. She was considered a mutant, or some kind of monster in her little town in the fire nation colonies.A regular little lion, her parents defended. Strong, fearless, and beautiful. But as many detractors pointed out, also quite dangerous.
Marpa was also different. This little girl could manipulate the waves. She was a resident of the Southern Water Tribe, having moved away with her family after her power was discovered. For fear of their daughter being showcased like an animal, or even accused of being a witch, her parents moved their little family to the other side of the world, where people were more excepting.
Gopan lived up to his name, or at least in spirit. His father was owner of Nati industries, a huge company that sold Battle Machines. When they had discovered his ability to move rocks, his father immediately started a new line of products, with Gopan's picture on them. Radio commercials featured him as a brave, strong young man. He was a hero. Although all he really wanted to do was sit and read in his hiding spot in the basement.
Kalmo considered himself no different than anyone else. He was a simple air nomad, no secrets, no advantages, no disadvantages. He was the perfect son. Not. The truth was, he had one secret. He was a monster. He could control his curse of wind so far, but was convinced that one day it would take him over completely. It already forced him to keep a terrible secret, and lie to his parents everyday when he went to the forest to train himself to resist the urge to destroy, which would definitely come one day. Probably soon.
You might be asking how these four met. So, rare the chances of it taking place, something must have happened. Something magical. Something special. And if you presumed this than you are correct. But I can only tel you what the group knows. In other words, it's a story for another day.
The story I can tell you now belongs to Kalmo. Since it it his, he should be the one to tell it.
Kalmo's story will be in chapter two, as well as one of the others. Please review!
