Prologue: Kidnappings, Murders, and a Call to Action

From August of 2008 to July of 2009, a series of violent murders rocks Watseka, Illinois- a small town of 6000, located roughly 13 miles west of the Indiana border. CSI from across the country is called, but only one team shows up- Las Vegas PD Graveyard shift, headed by Dr. Gil Grissom. This story follows these five CSI's through their first twenty-five Watseka crime scenes, from August 10, 2008 to July 28, 2009.

Kauai, Hawaii…12:30 PM (Hawaiian Standard Time)…Saturday, August 9, 2008…

Experiments six-two-four and six-two-six were lying down on the beachfront, just relaxing the day away. It'd been quite a while since either of them had any time to relax. He worked as Lilo's Assistant Ambassador. She worked as the singer in a band. They were relaxing on this day when an eighteen-year-old, white male, of the human race, approached their position from the southeast. When he reached their position, he pulled out a glass tube, placing experiment six-two-six in it. He then grabbed another one, placing experiment six-two-four in it. After he grabbed both experiments, he placed the two glass tubes in his car trunk and drove to the airport. Once there, he found the nearest spacecraft and jumped in. He had learned from the Israeli Mossad how to fly a spacecraft, although how they learned is very much shrouded in mystery. He punched in the vector entries for a flight to Watseka, Illinois, sitting back to enjoy the ride. He arrived there at roughly half-past five in the evening.

Watseka, Illinois…9:30 PM (Central Daylight Time)…Saturday, August 9, 2008…

Four hours later, the man, named Kyle Johnson, walked from his living room to his basement. He placed the two captive experiments back into their glass prisons. He then took them back upstairs and straight out of the house. He walked three blocks east, to the back yard at 450 West Mulberry Street. When he arrived at that location, he took experiment six-two-four out of her glass tube, placed her on the ground, and proceeded to stab her. For nearly three minutes, he continued to stab, inflicting a total of one hundred and twelve wounds. When he thought that she was dead, he moved on to experiment six-two-six. He stabbed him twelve times before he got tired and left.

Inside the house, a forty-eight-year-old white male and his eighteen-year-old son were awake and watching television. They hear the screaming coming from experiment six-two-four. They walk outside to investigate. What they see is a bloodbath; pink blood everywhere. The older man then calls police. When they arrive, the Watseka Police are shocked by what they find. A pink-furred creature was lying precisely in the middle of a pool of her own blood; the pool being twice as long as she was. On the other side of the yard, a blue-furred creature was lying on his side, barely breathing. They summon an ambulance to take the blue-furred creature away. Two hours later, the Watseka Police call in the state Crime Scene Team. When they get there, they, too, are shocked by the mere savagery of the crime. It is then decided that a more sophisticated unit of Crime Scene Investigators is needed for this case.

Office of Dr. Gilbert Grissom…Sunday, August 10, 2008…

Dr. Gilbert Grissom was sitting alone in his office. A little after 4:00 AM, Las Vegas Police Captain James Brass knocks on the door. He walks in and says, "I hope you're not in the middle of something."

"Nope. Just sitting here waiting for something to do," Grissom replies.

"We just got an all-hands-on-deck call from police in Watseka, Illinois. They want everyone there at once."

"Watseka, Illinois? Where the hell's that?"

"Google it."

Grissom googles the name, coming up with an approximate location ninety miles south of Chicago.

He asks Brass, "Where is the crime scene at? Did they tell you?"

"No."

Grissom then calls CSI's Greg Sanders and Catherine Willows into his office. He tells them that they're all going to Illinois. He then tells Catherine to grab Nick Stokes and Sara Sidle. When all five CSI's are there, he tells each of them to grab their kits. He is unaware that they already have them. About twelve minutes later, they're all at the airport, boarding a plane to Chicago.

O'Hare International Airport…Chicago, Illinois…Five Hours Later…

Five hours later, Grissom and his team step off of their plane at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Their police escort is already there, waiting to take them to the scene in Watseka. They leave the airport at around half-past five in the morning. They Arrive in Watseka three hours later.

I do not own any of the characters in this story. CSI belongs to CBS broadcasting Inc., and Lilo & Stitch belongs to Disney.
