It was all Hallows eve in Halloween Town, and everyone had just gotten back from scaring the living daylights out of people in the Human World. In the Graveyard, on top of Spiral Hill (a hill shaped in a spiral) sat a living rag doll girl named Sally with red hair plucking the petals off of a dead flower waiting for her love Jack Skellington a tall skeleton who is the king of Halloween to come back from his night of scaring. There she sat humming to herself when a second voice joined hers. " How have you been?" Jack asked as he sat down beside her. "I'm fine, just waiting for you." Sally replied. "Oh, well thanks for waiting." Jack said, starting to get nervous. " Are you okay Jack, you seem kind of nervous." Sally said looking up at him." Huh, oh I'm fine." He replied. "Oh, ok." Sally said looking up into the night sky, the full moon was shining brighter then ever that night. "Actually Sally, I need to tell you something." Jack said looking down at her. "Like what?" She asked looking up at him as well. Then Jack turned to face in front of her. " Well Sally, you've been my dearest and most trusting friend for as long as I can remember, then about a year ago we both discovered our true feeling for each other and fell in love," Jack said taking her tiny hands in his " that's why I've asked you to come here and wait for me to get back." He said getting more nervous. "Jack what are you trying to ask me here?" Sally asked getting confused. " I'm trying to ask you to…to," Jack started to stutter. " Go ahead, what are you trying to say? " She said looking into his eye sockets. " What I'm trying to say is that I love you!" Jack suddenly blurted out, Sally looked at him happily. " I know I don't say it much, but I truly, truly love you, " Jack said looking into Sally's eyes. "and I guess what I'm trying to ask you is if you wanted to do the honor of being my Queen, to marry me." Jack finally said, Sally was speechless. "Well?" Jack asked nervously, Sally finally was able to speak. " I would marry you in a heartbeat Jack!" She said as she took him into a tight hug. Jack could only smile. " I'll take that as a 'yes'" He said returning the hug. Sally smiled. Then Jack reached into his pocket and took out a small box with a ring inside. " Then I guess you'll need this." Jack said as he took out the ring and placed it on Sally's finger. The ring was gold with a pale blue diamond mounted in it, on the sides of the ring there were markings of ivy stems and leaves. "Oh Jack, it's beautiful." Sally said looking at the ring, then at Jack. " I knew you'd like it.". If you were there in the graveyard that night you would have seen two figures on top of that hill suddenly become one in the moonlight.
