UNTETHERED: MISSING SCENES 1
They stood shielded from the cold wind in the entryway to One Police Plaza. She took a long drink of her coffee, grateful for the burning warmth in her mouth and throat.
"He's doing what he can, Bobby," she said cautiously. "You know that."
He stared into the depths of his cup. "I…I know," he finally said. "But it's not going to be enough…Donny's going to be sent back…and…" He stared across the plaza. "It's not just that he's my nephew," he said desperately. "Although he may be the only member of my family I can save…But…but he's really an innocent…and he may be killed…I…I…I can't…"

"I told you, Bobby…It's too late…I made my choice a long time ago. When you're right—which is most of the time—you're right, and I'm with you. I'd rather be right and go down with you than be wrong and in with the Brass." Alex stood and challenged him.
"No…you can't…" Bobby had the familiar sensation of feeling that he was smaller than Alex.
"Yes, I can and I will. If you don't let me help you, I'm going to march into Ross' office and tell him you're about to do something stupid." She stepped closer to him.
He rocked on his feet. He had to trust someone, and there was no one he could trust but her. "All right," he whispered.
"Good," Alex said. "Besides, I always thought I'd make a pretty good PI. And there's some nice jobs in quiet little towns…"
