Darkness fell upon the land of Hyrule all too quickly. It had only been weeks before that Link had replaced the Master Sword in the Pedestal of Time and sealed the door to the Chamber of Time, when word of an army of Moblins started to arise among the people. Not soon after that the border towns were being attacked and pillaged by hoards of Moblins. Bringing with them great machinations of war and destruction. Link however sat unawares in his home among the Kokiri.

Link sat up in his bed and stretched out his limbs, shaking of his sleep. There seemed to be nothing for him now. Saria was gone; there were no more adventures to be had. Even Navi was gone now that he had fulfilled his duty to Time itself. Malon would occasionally come and visit him but that had only happen twice before. She was much too busy on the farm and Castle to spend much time with him. Talon had offered him a place in his home, hinting at how much he would like for him and Malon to "get hitched," whatever that might be. And at this moment he was thinking about moving to Lon Lon Ranch and take him up on his offer.

"HEY!" Link heard from coming outside. No sooner than he look to his door than Navi had come bursting through it and running straight into his head, knocking him back into is pillow. "Wake up sleepy head! My, my you haven't changed a bit since the first time I saw you. Get up! You've got work to do!"

"Navi! Slow down, what's going on?" Link tried to get out, almost talking over her.

"There's no time to explain. Get your things and lets go, I'll explain on the way to the Castle."

"The Castle? But the only other time that I went was when."

"Hyrule was in danger? Yeah, seems like fate isn't done with you yet. Now hurry up!" she shouted. Link wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if every Kokiri in the forest heard her shouting at him. Never before had a fairy bossed around someone else.

Link moved form the bed and went to his dresser. From the top drawer he pulled out a backpack. He opened it up to make sure everything was there. Two bottles of Red Potion, One Green potion, and empty bottle, his slingshot, a few Deku Nuts, his bomb bag, and his boomerang. He hefted it over his shoulder and turned around to find Navi staring him in the face.

"Hurry up Link. The fate of Hyrule ONLY rests on your shoulders!"

"Navi, chill," he said. "If your not going to tell me what's going on then you need to calm down." He had already started down the ladder to his house. Link made his way over to the exit to the woods when Mido had stopped him.

"Halt their Link! Where do you think YOUR going? You know that your not allowed to leave these woods!" he said as if he owned the place.

"Well, I WOULD be leaving these woods whether you like it or not. Now you can either step aside or you can be forced," Link threatened.

"Well I WOULD move but it would be hard with the bridge out wouldn't it?" he replied mockingly. "How are you going to leave when you can't even get across the gap? Huh?"

Link was boiling with rage. He knew that the only way the bridge would be out is if someone cut it, and no one over came to the wood, except for Malon. Mido had to of cut the bridge.

"Link, don't worry about it, it's best if we go one of the other ways anyways. The main roads will be watched," Navi insisted. Of course, Link had forgotten all about the shortcuts that went from the Lost Woods to Zora's Fountain and Death Mountain. So Link huffed and turned around, leaving Mido to his laughter. He hopped up behind Saria's house and climbed up the vines that lead up to the entrance to the Lost Woods.
