Raph and I have a discussion on TMNT romance fan fictions.
I sighed and tapped my pen against the tabletop, enjoying the click of the retracting point and wanting to snap in half to silence the noise of it at the same time.
"BOO!"
"Hi Raph."
"Man, are you ever scared?"
The red banded turtle sat himself down in the chair across the table waiting for an answer I didn't bother to give him.
"So, what are you working on this time?" he asked, leaning over and reading the pages of the random writing journals spread over the table.
"Girl, I think you're obsessed with writing."
I smiled, "It ain't obvious yet?"
"How many journals do you have?"
"I lost count at 11," I said with a shrug before leaning forward and writing a line down in one of the journals.
She wasn't normal, per say but-
I growled and ran my ink pen over it repeatedly until it was black as coal, "I'm ready to throw this idea out the window."
"What idea?" the dark green skinned terrapin asked again.
I threw the pen down, "It's a stupid love story."
"If it's stupid then why are you writing it?"
"You said it yourself, writing obsession," I said with a smile before leaning back in the chair, "At least you aren't trying to kill me this time."
"We worked it all out," Raph said with a smirk, running his hand over the blade of one of his sais.
I gulped then groaned, "I hate this story!"
"I'll never understand people that write for a living," the red clad turtle commented before glancing across the room, "Your hamster's out of food."
"Tunnel Rat's bowl doesn't stay full for more than 3 seconds," I said, starting to close the journals.
"So, this love story? Let me guess, Leo and Karai?"
"Ew," I said, scrunching up my nose in disgust, "She is WAY too old for him."
"Alright then…um," Raph hummed before saying, "Leo and Lotus."
I sighed in annoyance, "Like Karai, she's too old and must I further emphasize that those two are humans?"
"Leo and Venus?"
I slammed one of the notebooks down, "She's your sister! It isn't going to happen. EVER! Besides, I was using you, not Leo?"
"Oh no, what Mary Sue am I being put with now?"
I laughed, "That all you see these days?"
"You have no idea," Raph said, rolling his eyes towards the ceiling.
"Would people stop quoting my story's title?" I said while slapping my forehead.
Raph shrugged, "Sorry, it comes up easily. Could be why people liked it. It came up in conversations a lot."
"A piece of garbage," I mumbled under my breath before beginning to stack the numerous journals in two large piles.
The turtle shook his head, "No confidence."
I smiled, "Yep, that's me."
"So who am I supposed to be with?"
"No one yet, I can't think of anyone."
"Why not create an OC?"
"She'll be a typical Mary Sue," I explained.
"What about Mona Lisa?"
"Oh come on, you knew her for a whole 20 minutes, you guys aren't in love."
"Joy?"
"Human."
"April?"
"Raph, she's married to Casey, people need to understand that, it's just not going to happen between any of you guys and April."
"Angel?"
"Human."
"Then who?" Raph asked, his eyes narrowed and arms crossed.
"I think I'll just trash the idea," I explained, "Humans might accept you guys as friends but would not accept a relationship. Mutants may work but they never stay around long enough for any kind of character development. Don't forget what Master Splinter said after you guys rescued April."
The mutant turtle groaned, "Don't remind me, I'm still in pain from that. So, no love story?"
"Definitely," I said, finishing stacking the journals and climbing to my feet.
"What about Mikey and Donny?"
"Same rules apply."
"And no OC?"
"Truthfully Raph, I've already created the creatures for my next story. It'll be the sequel to MY Brother."
"Oh great," he said sarcastically, "So, we can rest in peace for awhile?"
I nodded, "For awhile."
"Kay, see ya."
With that, he disappeared, leaving me with 2 dozen journals and writer's block,
YAY! HE DIDN'T TRY TO KILL ME!
*Jumps up and down ridiculously.*
