I Spy a Pavement Artist
I had made him a promise all those years ago, and did nothing about it. I couldn't be there for the funeral, that upset me the most. I promised I would be there for them, and that I would watch out for them, and I wasn't there when they needed me most.
And now, four years after he died, I was making good on my promise. I had been debating on the subject for a while now, and I'm not sure if Rachel knew, or if it was just a sign, but a month ago, Rachel sent me a coded note asking if I wanted to teach Cove Ops at Gallagher Academy.
I accepted of course, I now had an opportunity to make good on my promise. I wasn't going to pass it up.
It had been hard of course. In order to be on time for my first day, I had to wrap up a mission, fast.
I did it though, and knowing I wouldn't be able to get a plane ticket fast enough without spending a lot of money. I called up my friend Abe, remembering that his daughter was a Gallagher Girl. I have yet to figure out exactly how she did that, but then again, Rachel's always been good at getting people to agree with her.
His daughter was gorgeous, but that wasn't odd, considering her parents. She would be good at honeypotting if she put her mind to it. And she wasn't an airhead either, like some of the Gallagher graduates I've seen, but she was definitely stubborn. That was both good and bad for a spy.
Halfway through the trip, a smug smile started to appear on her face. God only knows why.
We just made it, only because I told the driver to floor it. I let Rebecca lead the way, she knew where she was going, I didn't. Yet.
She slipped through the doors and I waited for her to join her friends and be seated before I made my entrance.
I heard the gasps and whispers around me and searched for the primary reason I was here.
I almost missed her. She was surrounded by her friends, but she blended in so well. She was almost Chris good, but by the time I was done with her, she'd be better.
So I found this while cleaning my room, but I really liked it, so I had to put it up. I know it's kinda disappointing compared to my other one shots, but I thought it was sweet. Please review!
