"WILL THE THREE SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS PLEASE REPORT TO THE GREAT HALL," A booming voice came. Hermione smiled at Harry and Ron, and they went down the stairs towards the Great Hall. When they arrived there, McGonagall was waiting. She gave them a small smile, then looked at them firmly.
"I will expect you will keep up on your studies for the N.E.W.T.S.?" asked the strict Professor.
"Yes, Professor," they replied in unison.
"Good," she said. "And now, the spell." She handed them each a goblet of something green. "Drink this. You will be transported back in time 54 years, to the same place you are now. I'll expect you'll be seeing me there, only as a fellow 7th year student of yours. Good bye, now."
Hermione quickly drank the potion, as did Harry and Ron. She started to feel dizzy, and then...she was in the common room. Only Professor McGonagall was gone, and with her, was replaced a wizard she had never seen before.
"Welcome!" he said. "I am Armando Dippet, your Headmaster. All three of you are Gryffindors. Very well. The password is Faerie Wings."

Hermione, Harry, and Ron, entered their first class the next day. Potions...with the Slytherins, like it was 54 years in the future. Hermione looked at the Professor. He looked friendly.
"Hi!" he exclaimed. "Welcome to potions...I hope we're learning the same things as you. We might be a little further since we actually skipped the chapter on Veritsatum."
Hermione smiled. This was great. He was nothing like Snape.
"Well," he said. "I'm Professor Langley. I'm going to pair each of you up with a study buddy you can work with. Harry, you're with Minerva McGonagall. Ron, you're with Leslie-Jane Brown. And...Hermione. Oh, it appears we have no more Gryffindor partners. Well. You can work with Tom Riddle, over here."
Hermione took her books and sat over with Tom. A Slytherin? Uh-oh. What was she getting her into?
"Hi," said Tom. "Do you know what chapter we're on? Chapter 11. How to make a potion to change your looks."
"Why would you want to do that?" asked Hermione. "It's kind of superficial and stupid."
"I guess," he said. "So, it's Hermione, right?"
"Yup!" she said. "So, um, like, when should we meet?"
"Not Wednesdays...that's circle day. Not Tuesdays..."
"Well, Tuesdays don't work for me either," said Hermione.
"Yeah, it's Marvin the Muggle days," they said in unison.
"Are you serious?!" exclaimed Hermione. "You read that comic too?"
"Yeah, all my friends hate it, yanno?" said Tom.
"Yeah, I know, mine totally hate it too!" said Hermione.
"Okay, people," said Professor Langley. "Period's up. Remember, the Halloween Dance is tommorow. I hope you're all coming."
"Halloween dance?" asked Hermione. "How am I gonna find a date to that? Ack...I'll ask Ron. I like him, anyways."
