Confession
If I never told you,
Confessed how much I cared,
It's only that I was afraid
To lose the life we shared.
You've been more than a colleague,
You've been my truest friend
And I feared my confession
Could be that friendship's end,
But now I'll take a moment
To let you know the score:
I've loved you for the longest time
And should have thanked you more
For all the times you saved me
With nothing short of grace
And infinite forgiveness
For this old man's mistakes.
Behind every great wizard
There's a witch who makes him strong;
A woman who can bear him true
And tell him when he's wrong.

Although you'd never own it,
