When Nikki walked into the kitchen one evening after having a bath she couldn't help but grin at the sight that lay before her. Harry was sitting at the kitchen table with their youngest child, two year old Rosalind. Both of them were covered in glitter, more of the substance was scattered over the table. Nikki glanced at her husband who still hadn't looked up, his hair was now sparkly and every time he moved some fell onto his equally shiny shirt, his face was also covered in the glitter. Nikki then looked at her young daughter who's long blonde hair was as sparkly as her fathers and her face even more covered than Harry's.
"Having fun you two?" Nikki asked suddenly and the two people in front of her looked up. Both their faces split into grins.
"Mummy" Rosalind shouted and held her arms up. Nikki picked her up and pressed a kiss onto her daughters sparkly cheek.
"You're all sparkly" Nikki told her and Rosalind giggled and placed her small hands on Nikki's face, transferring glitter onto her mother.
"You too mummy" she grinned then pointed at Harry who was sitting grinning at his wife and daughter "and daddy"
"Did daddy put the glitter on you?"
"Hey" Harry pouted as Rosalind nodded. He gently poked his daughter in the side where he knew she was ticklish causing her to laugh loudly and squirm away from his hands. He then leant over and kissed Nikki on the lips.
"We were doing art" he told her proudly causing Nikki to laugh then gasp as he quickly poured glitter over her slightly damp hair.
"Mummy you have hair like me" the little girl in her arms laughed as she spotted the glitter that stuck to her mothers hair.
"Well I think it's your bedtime" Nikki told the two year old after glancing at the clock "We'd better go and clean you up before bed" Nikki looked at Harry "While daddy cleans up all this glitter"
Harry pouted slightly and Nikki rolled her eyes.
"Then" she whispered to him as she placed Rosalind on the floor and watched her run out of the kitchen "I think we're going to need another shower"
Randomly came to me while doing my German homework..how that prompted this I have no idea. ;)
