"Fee, Fie, Foh… Ford! I smell the odor of a smelly system lord!"

Danny squealed pumping his little fists in the air, his eyes wide with the anticipation of tonight's story. Abandoning his new teddy bear, he crawled under the newspaper Jack was reading, and on to his lap.

"More, da?"

"Just getting warmed up, chipmunk, you comfy there?"

Settling in Jack's arms, thumb surgically attached to his mouth, Daniel nodded his readiness.

"Teal'c," Jack started, "the bald warrior of the Tau'ri, hitched up his ancient jeans, ignoring the green faced giant's insults, and fixed his eyes on the prize… the fair golden haired Tokra, Samantha, sitting mournfully in her gilded cage."

"Ohhh!" Eye's alight with delight; Danny reached out to caress the words on the newspapers. The Blackhawk's had gone down to the Canucks, 6 to 3.

"Skulking his way past the pimple butted giant, Teal'c hefted his staff weapon high and fired at her prison bars. The door sprang open amidst a shower of sparks and the fair haired Samantha, her pantaloons seriously singed, tumbled into Teal'c's arms with a feinting sigh." Jack paused to catch his breath and turn the page onto the football scores, nothing good happening there either, the Falcon's had gone down to the Cardinals 24 to 30… nuts! "Teal'c the outstandingly brave, hefted the Tokra over his shoulder, and moving at sub-light speed, raced towards the waiting beanstalk! But!" Jack lowered his voice to a bare whisper, hugging Danny tighter, and painfully ignoring the smeared scores on the page, thanks to a fully sucked on thumb, "the giant had other plans. In a bold move, he leapt in front of our hero, his enormous belly jiggling like jello-o, his mass blocking out the sunlight. "Be he bald or be he hairy, he'll not be taking off with my fairy!" the giant bellowed! Teal'c the towering Tau'ri would hear nothing of it. Pushing the giant aside, he stood stoically in front of the window, the sun beating down on his bald head and throwing a shaft of magical sunlight onto the giant. "Nooooo," the giant roared, arms and belly wiggling everywhere, "I'm melting!" And he did. Our hero, Teal'c of the much Testosterone, side-stepped the green slush of melting giant, and with a arch of one perfectly curved eyebrow, fled down the beanstalk and delivered the fair Tokra back to the Jack, no relation, the silver haired Tau'ri legend. The end!"

"Phew," Daniel sighed putting his hand over Jack's and closing the newspaper. "I was worried."

"Worried? Why?"

"I hate beans" Tugging the newspaper free of Jack's hand, Daniel yawned, kissed Jack on the cheek, and retrieving his teddy, toddled off towards his bed room.

"Same time tomorrow night, kiddo?"
