The pain of not knowing. Of being kept in the dark. I should have known something like this would happen to me. It always has happened, before. Before I didn't know. Not that I expect anything to change. The only thing that would change, in my opinion, is my trust in people. How stupid I was not to notice. The Sandaime should have told me, instead of leaving me to figure out why the villagers hate filled eyes always looked on my with distain, in stead of the respect I should have been given for keeping the Kyuubi no Kitsune in my body.

They looked down on my instead. But, no worries. Konohagakure will get nothing from me. I won't get revenge, but when the time comes they need their Human Sacrifice, I won't be their to help. No, apathy is the best solution.

-Thoughts of Naruko Uzumaki, age 6

*-Chapter 1-*

Cold blue eyes surveyed the room, sweeping over the potential ninja's. She didn't even know why she was here in the first place. Oh, yeah, an attempt from the Sandaime to get her to care about something, hopefully her new team. Hopefully.

What pathetic ninja-to-be. She could beat them all using one finger.

Naruko mentally sighed. She had surpassed them, and most ninja's a couple years ago. She could most likely beat her new sensei Hatake Kakashi. Yes, I know a lot of things.

"Why do I have to have the Banshee, and Emo on my tea-" Her thoughts were inturupted by the yell of the Chunin, Iruka, settling down the class.

"Okay, class. I will be assigning you into a three man team. Team one is..."

Naruko's attention drifted off. Why pay attention when you know what team your on, already? It was quite easy to sneak into the hokage's office and take a peak at the team formation. She had been sneaking in their long before that.

"-anaka. Okay that is all the teams. Your jounin-sensei should be hear soon," Iruka finished. She quietly drifted of to sleep. Hatake was notorious for being 2 hours late to everything...

-2 and 1/2 hours later-

Sakura looked at her teamate, Naruko. What a lazy ass! Sakura lifted her hand, ready to bring it down-

Naruko's hand shot out, catching the fist above her head, "Its not nice to hit people, Sakura-san."

Her head lifted up, red hair still in a neat ponytail, even after napping. Good, Hatake is nearly here.

"Sakura-san, Sasuke-san, Sensei should be here soon."

"How would you know, dobe?"

"Because you can hear his footsteps." And with that, the door opened and a man with gravity defying silver hair stepped in the classroom.

"First impression... I don't like you." How welcoming.
