"SLAYER!!!!" Came a voice from outside the large doors of the library. The man looked up from where he was in thought and cocked an eyebrow. The doors soon swung open revealing a flustered young woman standing there. "Yes, Sharon?" Said Slayer as he slowly stood up. "Don't Sharon me!" She yelled and stomped over to him, thrusting a crumpled letter in his face. "What the Hell is this!" She shouted.
Starled he took a step back. What is she so mad about this time? He thought as he grabbed the letter. He flipped it over seeing as it had already been open he grabbed the contents and opened it. It read:
Dear Slayer, We have accepted your request to join the tournament. Unfortunately your request to show up at the Guild directly have been denied, but if you wish to take matters in your own hands you will show up in the city mentioned earlier. We hope to see you in one week of the arrival of this letter. Thank you for your time.
Slayer looked back up at Sharon who seemed just as mad then before he read it. "So, Slayer you were going to run off just like you were last time and without telling me! I thought you were smarter than this!" Said Sharon.
"Eh, Sharon I was waiting to tell you, just I wanted to make it right." Said the man as he smiled faintly. "The right time!, Jee I've heard that before, like the last time you ran off, you were gone for 5 months!!" She said and turned around, pouting. Slayer knew he was in for it and would only dig a grave for himself if he fought her, so he thought for a moment. I could use that Plan method with this. Let s see Plan A would be that I wouldn't go, NO that won't work at all, and Plan B would be if....if she went with me. That sounds risky, but hey that s what we do. He approached her and put his arms around her in an embrace. He then whispered into her ear ever so delicately.
"Oh, Sharon you don't have to be alone, you, if you want, could go with me." She looked up at his face and frowned.
"Would that work?" she said and sagged in his arms a bit. Slayer smiled and said,
"My wife, it would give me nothing but pleasure if you went with me. My journey is a rough one, one that gets lonely after a while, my presence in this world is a rough one, but with you by my side, it would make it better." Suddenly, Sharon turned around and hugged him, still within his embrace. "You mean it, truly!" With this Slayer smiled again and walked towards the wall. "Yes, truly I do." He said and faded with his wife through the wall towards the bedroom.
