Hidden Door - 1/50 for OT3 Bootcamp Challenge
The three of them were never far from each other, either in classes together, eating in the Great Hall, or enjoying free time in the common room. They shared everything, from laughs and jokes to kisses and touches. But no one knew about the last part. They were happy.
On one occasion, Harry and Ron had surprised Hermione with a visit to the library – something they did rarely.
They were still smug about the way they had managed to drag her attention away from the books so fully. She could hardly enter the library now without blushing, making the two very satisfied males feel just that much more masculine.
To the rest of the world, they were best friends brought together by fate and held tight with the close bonds of friendship. It was almost exciting to have the two personas, to be able to trick everyone and keep such a thing secret from the press. They had something that the world didn't know of, and it was bliss.
Because behind doors – be they hidden, private, locked, warded, or blocked by Fluffy – they were not quite friends. They were more than that.
In the privacy of a guarded room, they could let their own guards down and each could let the other two care for and heal them. It was a perfect situation, because they had always been great friends – lying didn't work and fighting was always resolved quickly. The war had left many gaping holes in their hearts, but when they were together, progress was made towards mending the rips. Together, they were healing and recovering.
Maybe in theory and on paper their relationship didn't seem likely to work - with the possibility of jealousy rising and too many feelings at once - but when put to practice, they found the way they fit like pieces of a puzzle, perfect for each other and content never to leave.
