Author's Note – After playing Blood Omen I decided to make a story of William the Just. There are two timelines of William's life; one where he, as an older monarch known as the Nemesis, fought against Ottomar and the second where he was killed as a young man before he could begin his rise as the Nemesis. I chose the second option as oppose to the first because I saw more possibility in it.
The story is not completely AU but since little to nothing was known about William and the surrounding kingdoms, I decided to go ahead and be imaginative on some points. Everything major of course will not be changed; I am simply writing about a character that I feel has been sorely overlooked just because he did not get enough screen time in the videogame.
