Her final thoughts

Eve stood in Wolfram and Hart. Angel had warned her to get out, but he didn't force her to leave. It was over, soon the senior partners would destroy the building, and Eve didn't care enough to leave. She had given up her immortality for Lindsey, and now Angel had taken him from her. Eve didn't think of vengeance against Angel, the senior partners would handle that. She thought of her creation, the senior partners ordering her creation, the scientists who worked on Eve, her brothers and sisters. Liasons between earth and hell. Eve remembered being in the chamber, before she woke up for the first time. Hamilton woke before her, saw her still in the pod, but left. Even then he was too eager to serve evil. Eve was different, could adapt to the human world better, that's why she was chosen to watch over Angel and his crew. That had backfired somewhat, Eve choose humanity, love, over eternal evil. As she awited her death she heard his voice. Lindsey was calling her, and she saw him. Eve was certain she wasn't hallucinating, it was really her beloved. Lindsey was coming to take her to the afterlife. Wherever they were going, heaven, hell, anywhere else, at least they would be together.
