This is my first fan fiction so yeah I hope you enjoy!

If I owned PJO, Bianca would never have died.

Artemis woke suddenly to the rustling of leaves. "Is it morning already? No, it is completely pitch black out. Then why would some one be up already?" she thought to herself. Curious and aware of intruders, Artemis got out of her tent and started walking. She continued her stroll until she came to a nice grassy meadow. The only problem was a young, fifteen year old girl sobbing silently. The problem was that she knew the girl. She was her lieutenant and someone who never shed a tear.

"Thalia?" she asked aloud, startling the other girl. "Lady Artemis, what are you doing up so late?" Thalia asked, getting up and furiously wiping away her tears. "I could ask you the exact same thalia. And I could also ask why you are crying out here." She looked away and quietly muttered her response. "I was recently informed that my best friend passed." Sympathy and curiosity overcame her. "Who would that happen to be, if you don't mind my asking." She turned back with fresh tears pouring down her face yet again.

"My brother Jason, he was killed on a mission to find a missing camper. They ran into a hydra on their way home and Jason attacked it head on. He managed to destroy it, but his many injuries were fatal. He didn't make it back to camp for help." By the end of her tale, she had dried her tears and was refusing to shed one more. Artemis was shocked and now felt empathetic. She would feel the exact same thing if Apollo died, even though he really can't. she was so caught up in her thoughts, that she almost missed Thalia's next sentence. She barely caught the last three words that shocked her insanely. "- quit the hunters."

Artemis looked up, surprised at what she'd heard. "Wait, what?" Thalia just repeated herself. "I can't stand to watch all my friends die while I'm practically immortal. So I have to quit the hunters. I'm sorry, I really am. But I am sure, that if we switched lives, and Apollo died, that you would do the exact same thing." The truth was that Thalia was right, and she couldn't argue. Not to mention that Thalia is the most stubborn person she had ever met, and once she decides something, it's impossible to say no.

Sighing she turned and accepted the circlet that was being handed to her. "Since you have been an amazing lieutenant, I will send you to your cabin at camp half-blood. When you wake tomorrow, you will have none of your hunter privileges. I wish you a good life and I am sorry for your loss." And before she could get a response, she sent Thalia to camp. Tomorrow, she will hand the circlet down to Phoebe.
