I was unfair to you, and I'm sorry for it.
You seem so big, and bright, and you blinded me. Blinded me in away that no one ever could. You seemed so big and infinite, that I forgot how fragile you really are.
I've seen things, miraculous, and marvelous things that would 'blow your mind' as you like to say.
I saw the beginning of time. I've seen the death and rebirth of stars. I've basked in the hearts of suns. Toured galaxies. Held Atoms.
I watched the universe burst forth from oblivion.
But with a look and a few words you made me forget it all.
There will never be another like you. I rebelled for you, killed my siblings for you, and chances are I will die for you. No one else can boast such loyalty and love from me.
I promise never to forget how heavy the burden is for you, when you stand so tall and defiant. I promise I won't blink when I look into the abyss.
And I promise not to let you blink either.
