Just a little Swan Queen oneshot I wrote in Chemistry one day and hadn't gotten around to typing up until now. PG, SWF, and all that jazz.

I don't own OUAT.

Regina spun around. "What did you say, Miss Swan?"

"It's Sheriff now, remember? I understand, it's only been a month or two since I beat out your guy for the job."

Regina's eyes narrowed. "Care to answer my question, Sheriff?"

"I simply said 'hi'. Where's the harm in that, Madame Mayor?" Emma said with a smirk.

Regina sighed as she bit back another snarky retort, returning to her desk from the window she'd been gazing out of when the sheriff entered. She clandestinely slipped the ring she'd been holding into the pocket of her blazer, covering the action by adjusting the garment as she sat down.

Emma noted the action and wondered why it'd been hidden, but stored the tidbit in the recesses of her mind for later. She sauntered closer to the desk, but opted not to take a seat, instead standing in a mildly challenging pose with her thumbs in her belt loops and her hips thrust slightly out with her shoulders back.

Regina's eyes were caught by the minute pelvic thrust and her eyes traveled from the simple belt with the badge up to the blonde's taut midriff, raked over a bosom that made her bite her lower lip just a little, grazed over the creamy skin of the sheriff's collarbone and the little divot at the nape of her neck, caught on pink lips that held the ghost of a cocky smile, and rose to meet Emma's eyes.

"What can I do for you today, Sheriff?"

"Nothing really, just dropping off this paperwork." Emma swept her unzipped jacket to the sides as she leaned over the desk to place the small stack of paper on the blotter in front of the mayor.

Regina for the first time had a unobstructed view of the large, bold, black, all-caps lettering on the white t-shirt tucked into Emma's jeans and what she read made her jaw go slack.

"LIKES

GIRLS"

Coming to her senses, the mayor closed her mouth and gulped.

"See something you like?" Emma casually asked with a smirk.

It took Regina a moment to reply. She cleared her throat. "Nice shirt."

Emma's smirk expanded into almost a grin. "Thanks. I ordered it off the internet, just came in last night."

She turned to leave but paused in the doorway, turning around.

"It's not entirely accurate though."

For some reason Regina couldn't quite comprehend, disappointment burned within her. "Oh?"

She was taken aback by Emma's parting comment and sat dumbfounded in her mayoral seat for a good minute after the sheriff departed, the oh-so-casual remark ringing in her ears.

"I prefer women."
