Lie Ren woke up and immediately got the feeling that something was off. He checked his teammates; they were just waking up. He checked Stormflower; hadn't been tampered with. He checked-
"Hi Ren! You're awake! Do you…" Nora Valkyrie chattered on, oblivious to all around her.
"..." Ren opened his mouth for one of the only things that could shut her up, but nothing came out. Well… except for a hoarse cough. Oh please, please don't say he'd lost his voice…
"Ren, what's wrong with your voice?" came Pyrrha's concerned question.
Ren opened his mouth to answer, but started coughing again. Resigning himself to his fate, he reached over to the notebook and pencil on the bedside table and wrote ,'Lost it.'
"Well, there's no way you're coming to class like that," she decided for him.
He wrote back, 'It's nothing serious or contagious. I'm coming."
As Pyrrha was about to protest, Jaune intervened and said, "How about he gets checked out, since there's enough time before breakfast, then if they say he's okay, he can come. That okay with everyone?"
Nods of consent all around.
*I am a line break*
"Well, you seem to be perfectly fine. It's nothing serious or contagious, so it should be okay to attend classes. Just be sure to take it easy."
Team JNPR left the clinic and headed for breakfast.
"What are you going to do in class if you get called on?"
'I'll just let the professor know before class.'
"Well, if there's anything you'd like help with, just let us know."
It was at times like this that it truly showed how awesome his team members and friends were, and how much they all cared.
