Bohemian Rhapsody

McRaider

Summary: There was definitely a moment when Carole and Burt realized that their sons would ultimately make very good brothers.

Author's Note: I work at a call center, and every day for lunch I do the same thing, I crank up Queen put my headphones on and I read…for an hour. For some they want to get away from their desk, but my partner brought me to the beauty that is Queen and ultimately it always helps me relax and unwind. I have a deep belief that while Kurt may be on the girly side, he's no doubt go a few groups in his repitoire that he truly apprecaites for what they are-magical.

Rated: PG (maybe even G)

It was the ultimate day of annoyance for Kurt Hummel, he was tired, and feeling abused and desperately needed to unwind. To top it off he had a lot of homework to do. The plus was that Carole and his father were out to dinner for the night, and Finn was going to be at Rachael's for a majority of the night.

So he headed downstairs, not bothering to close his door, knowing no one would be home to hear, he flipped his i-pod on and quickly went to the one group that helped him unwind more than any other-his father had long since shown him the magic of Queen, but normally Kurt liked the female singers more. But he certainly could see the appreciation in Queen and the music they'd created.

Immediately Bohemian Rhapsody filled the air. Grinning, Kurt headed into the shower, when he returned a few minutes later another Queen song was on, deciding not to change it, he grabbed a couple of his books and lay down on the floor. But ultimately the music began to sing to him.

"Dude…are you listening to Queen?" Finn questioned, having come downstairs now. His eyes were wide at the sight of his soon to be step brother lying on the floor and singing at the top of his lungs-sounding surprisingly like the lead of Queen.

Kurt glanced up, eyes wide realizing he'd been caught. "Maybe." He replied.

Finn grinned, "You just got way cooler."

"Thank…you?" Kurt replied, unsure quite how to reply to that.

"Do you know the whole album?"

"It's their Favorites album, but yes, track seven is my favorite, "Don't Stop me Now."

"Seriously?" Grinning from ear to ear, Finn flicked the ipod over to that without asking and immediately he flipped the music up.

Kurt laughed as his brother rapidly sung the first verse. At the top of his voice dancing around on various furniture, deciding he couldn't resist, Kurt quickly stood up and decided to follow. Joining in on the second chours-Finn acted like he was playing the drums while Kurt sang at the top of his voice.

Neither boy saw the two glancing around the wall as they danced around and sang at one another. Even Finn was getting into it, throwing himself off the couch and jumping in the air. Both boys acting crazy. Burt have to cover his mouth as he watched his kids, meanwhile Carole was trying not to snicker as she pushed him back up stairs.

"We'll warn them next time to turn it down," She giggled softly, neither boy any the wiser. But Burt felt sure for the first time that this family could really be a family, even more so that maybe both of the boys would be better off with a brother.

The song ended with both boys acting like they were playing air guitar back to back, as they sat down on the floor, laughing and out of breath. "Dude, you are the coolest gay brother ever."

Kurt chuckled, "Thanks, you're pretty awesome for a straight football star."

Finn laughed as he shoved his brother gently.
