The Fall

"This is my note." He had said, before throwing away the phone, thus ending any chance of talking him out of it. "No!" I had shouted before a cyclist had run into me, pitching me sideways like I was nothing more than a rag doll.

As I sat there as the world span around me the few precious seconds before he would fall seemed like an eternity before me as I watched him step forwards, dark curls that had once framed high, aristocratic cheek bones few back and danced in the wind as he fell, the world seemed to come to a stop around me as I watched, horror-stricken.

The suddenly time restarted and he fell, arms wheeling and coat flapping around him like a ravens wings, giving the illusion he was flying. Then he hit the ground, shock had taken other as people rushed to help him. I had ran forwards and tried to push my way to him but all I could see was his dark curls, matted with blood, still framing his slack face.

"He's dead you know." Lestrade had told me as they had picked up the form of my once best friend, once room-mate and also the one I knew had helped me live normally again. "I know." I had replied simply, my voice monotone as I stood at the side of the road, blanket on my shoulders to 'help' with shock. I turned away and walked not even hearing the requests to stay where I was, to just answer them. I walked away from the troubles that He had caused me, from the life I had come to know with Him.

AN. Sup? First fic in a while and it's fricking Sherlock. Damn. Leave a review if you want I don't mind but please note it's not beta'd so any mistakes to be pointed out would be appreciated and all that.

Have a nice day!
