It'd seemed almost like a dream when they'd fought against Everwraith now.
But it was a reality, a reality they would live with for a very, very long time.
It was decided to be for the best though, that Hiro would never be told the true identity of Everwraith. That-They hadn't had a clue how he'd react to it. But it was for the better. After all, he was gone now. With positively no hope whatsoever for him to return.
The true problem, however, was the fact of someone who knew of their identities was out there. Doing who knows what and planning whatever.
Tadashi and the rest of the team had decided that it may be best to keep Hiro out of this one. Not wanting to put Hiro in a chance like there had been the last time
But of course, it wouldn't be long before he was found out. Tadashi had been recently tracking every villainous action. And 'Sunfire' as well as Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred would with ease take care of it before Hiro could catch wind of it.
But every little detail was noted. Every stopped villain.
Every busted bot fight.
Everything he did was written down.
The Fujita had to lay low ever since the events that took place such a long time ago. Months? That sounded correct.
But hey-They couldn't complain. They simply used makeup to disguise their appearance during the times they needed to leave, and they currently had an employer that could pay them enough to survive for now. Not to mention the 'side jobs' they still did. They were fine.
Natsuki looked boredly at her employer. Who seemed to be aggravated by Sunfire's fighting against what he sends out recently.
As though reading her mind, he spoke up, "The game cannot start without all the pieces." He frowned hard at the screen he stared at. News playing of the Big Hero 6 and Sunfire stopping yet another crime, "Tadashi is a smart boy, but he's no king. Nor is he the one I challenged to this game." The man flicked the channels again, almost yawning as the stories were all similar. The world was quite excited about the superheroes, it seemed, "I suppose though, if he truly wishes to simply play with pawns-I could humor him for the time being. But I do wish that he would either give me a good game or a better opponent."
The Fujita dashed over to him at his words, although they were content with their current situation, they were excited, "We could help you!" Kaede announced excitedly to him. But he waved her off, refusing to allow them their wish, "In time."
In a moment he pulled out a laptop from beneath the table that was nearby him, beginning to send out messages to someone that the three women couldn't see. The text was lost to them as he swiftly sent it, "No need to risk the chance of losing your best pieces to soon, wouldn't you agree?" The girls fell silent, Hotaru's gaze looking cold at him. To her, if his words were meant to be a compliment-She did not take it as such. But she kept her silence for the time being. Allowing him to play on his computer, since if all went well this would be rather fun for her.
In a moment their employer got an E-mail in return to the one he'd sent.
His queen would be home soon, and that in itself brought a smile to his face.
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for reading this first chapter of my new story.
This is going to be a sequel to the story 'It's Only Worse' that I'd written awhile back. If you want to know the details from it, I encourage you to go see it. (Unless you already have)
That being said, thanks once again for reading and I hope you'll enjoy what's in store-Last hug!
