The Life of a Seventh Grader

Chapter 2: Bye to Eileen

Hi! Its Addi again! Now that you know a little about some of the people here at General Fish, maybe I can start telling you about the stories and adventures I go on with all of them! (and maybe a some of the drama, love, and war stuff I've been telling you about)

Let's travel back to Wednesday, the day Eileen was still here.

It was picture day and we had Volley Ball practice that morning. UGH! My hair and clothes were going to get all messed up a dirty. Why does this have to happen to me? Anyways as I was saying, it was picture day. The day people were practicing their smiles and getting pimped and ready. To Eileen this was everything. Eileen was leaving Thursday morning so she was so damn glad to be able to get her picture taken. If she left that day, no picture for the yearbook! Can you believe that happening?

After Volleyball practice came 1st period. All the girls in the class brought hair brushes and all that stuff to get ready. Even I did! Picture day is super important to all of us, and to mess up is not an option. Ew, did I sound girly?

An announcement went on and said that pictures will start at the lower grades and they will work their way up. Which means we get our pictures taken after recess. (because we are the oldest class) All I could think was Oh, Crap. I was going to look so messed! Don't you just hate the pressure on picture day?

After Recess our whole class went to the computer lab to watch a movie. We all got popcorn, one of the ultimate teeth stickers. I love popcorn, so I had to take some. 25 minutes through out the movie two girls come in saying its our turn for the pictures.

Our whole class got our pictures BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH.

At the end of the day, 1 period before the bell rang Eileen got ready to leave for the month. I knew I was going to miss her, OF COURSE I WAS GOING TO MISS HER! Eileen and I sit together in class, we're partners for most projects and all that stuff, but with her gone, Im going to be all lonely. Then our teacher announces that we are doing a Canadian Invetors project. I thought it was going to be pretty cool, then he mentions we have to do it in partners... thats when i felt like it was my turn to die next. PARTNERS, RIGHT WHEN EILEEN IS LEAVING?
I turn my head to the right to see if my other table mate has a partner yet, and she already does. Dammit. I look at Rosie and she's partners with Maria. DAMMIT. Rosie and Maria offered a spot for me to join their group, a group of 3!
I hate doing groups of three, one person is always doing the least work and is always being left out.

*2 MINUTES LATER*

Stuck as Caelan's partner. Oh my lord, why does Eileen have to leave?
If I fail this project, I swear I will rage. Wait, but seriously, am I going to die soon? This is NOT my week.

After school, Rosie, Eileen, Nicki, and I hung out at Eileen's house, just to say goodbye. We talked for hours and hours. There were packed luggage's and boxes everywhere. Just the sigh of it wants to make me cry. Im going to miss Eileen. It's not going to be the same without her. That last night with her will be my most memorable moment for this month. When she is back, we'll have an even better night!
