Author's Note: I do not own anything except the box I live in. Well I do own Yori but that is all. All Harry Potter characters copyrighted to J.K. Rowling.
By the way, the characters won't appear for a chapter or two because this story mainly focuses on howYori got to Hogwarts.
The alarm went off at 4:30AM in the Sohma household. Yori already out of bed and dressed waited for her brother to get to the kitchen for breakfast. When he didn't show up in five minutes she grabbed a large cooking pot and a metal spoon. Silently she tip-toed into her brother's room.
When she made it all the way up to his bedside she banged the spoon against the pot. Theloud crashing sound woke Toya with a fright. "Yori! Don't do that!" Toya screamed. "You'll wkae the neighbors."
"We don't have neighbors Dumphead. And we haven't forfive years." replied Yori as she made her way back to the kitchen.
Yori Sohma wasn't the best cook but she did what she had to do. The budget was tight and even magic couldn't help that.
Toya shuffled into the kitchen and grabbed a stack of waffles on a plate. Waffles were the only thing that she made that was really good, even delicious.
"Toya, I need you to drive me to work today," said Yori stuffing school clothesinto her bag.
"Sure. But why can't you walk?" Toya asked
"Have you looked outside?" Yori motionedto the window. "It's pouring. I can't walk in that."
"But you love the rain."
"Yeah, I do. But I can't get my work clothes wet." Yori pointed to her work outfit. It consited of a long black skirt with a white button blouse. Yori worked at Shi's Breakfast Diner as a waitress.
"Sure." Toya returned to his waffles.
When the two had finally left and made it to the diner Yori hopped out and waved Toya good-bye. Then as the car drove out of sight she sighed and entered the resturant.
Shi was a kind old lady and Yori loved working for her. Shi always welcomed her with a smile every morning and night. But her grandson was a different story. Since Shi was getting old her son thought that his son could help out around the diner and she gladly accepted except Tohru did anythign but help. He was a pain in the butt. And instead of the kind old woman welcoming her in he stood at the door glowering at her.
"Why are you late?" Tohru pracitcally screamed.
"I'm sorry I was late, Tohru. We hit traffic because of the rain." Yori tried to explain.
"That's Mr.Tohru to you. And that is not an excuse for being late."
"Whatever Tohru." Yori walked past him. She found Shi sitting at a table drinking morning tea. "Good moring Shi-chan." Yori smiled.
The old woman got up and hugged Yori tightly. "Good Morning Yori dear"
It was almost opening time and food was already cooking in the kitchen. She pulled on her apron and nametag andheaded to the kitchen.
Please review. I really want to know wether it's good or not. Thanks!
