Author's Note: Passion project idea of mine for a while now, I really just wanted to write a gamer story for a long time, but I really didn't want to beat the dead horse of average gamer stories that start anywhere from 5 to 15 year before canon and Then just get abandoned 3 chapters in, like a soda that was not even half finished while driving on the highway before throwing it by the wayside , and I also really like Professor Arc (Original author for the story of Professor Arc is Coeur Al'Aran BTW) and so I thought why not cram both of them together and see what happens and so from me to you Professor Arc: The Gamer enjoy!
I hear the alarm beep as I get up and realize that I only have half an hour before I have to get on a bullhead to Beacon.
"Oh shit oh shit oh shit, I can't be late!", see the thing is that I, Jaune Arc had to fake my way into Beacon and with my 'transcripts' I was given a call on my scroll with Headmaster Ozpin asking to meet me today. So you can see why I'm now in a rush right? Anyways I get dressed, get a small rucksack filled with some basic items, and hopped on to a bullhead to Beacon.
Later at Beacon
I strain to not vomit as I get off the bullhead and walk to the CCT. As I got to the CCT tower I was greeted by a blonde woman with a whip she introduced herself as Glynda Goodwitch and I did the same before she guided me up to the headmaster's office. The elevator stopped at the top floor with a ding and I got off to be greeted by the headmaster.
"Hello, there Mr. Arc please sit down" I nod and sit as I start cursing Roman if he screwed up the fake transcripts
"Now I'm assuming that right now you're wondering why I called you here instead of simply sending you a dustmail about it."
I nod "well simply put I wanted to talk to you about your transcripts." I start screaming internally
"they're very impressive and all but why come here you've been through the fall of Vacuo's academy for the gifted?" I calm down and breath an internal sigh of relief
"Well I wanted to get an official license, unfortunately, the academy fell before I could get one" I lie through my teeth

The fuck is that you know that whatever I need to get into Beacon and then I'll deal with the damn pop up or whatever that is

"Are you alright?" Ozpin asked crap I must have spaced out, gonna need to get a good excuse
"Hmm? I'm sorry about that sir I started to reminisce to better times before the fall." Please buy it "of course, I hope I didn't bring up anything too bad for you it was a terrible tragedy with a terrible loss of life" he replied warmly. "Yes I lost my entire team in it but I try to keep my head up and not let their sacrifices be in vain," I tell Ozpin. "Hmm let me make a counteroffer for you, you come to my school as a professor and I'll give you a full huntsman license at the end of the year." I blink and ask him if he's serious. "I assure you I'm quite serious," he told me, I tell him how I know nothing of teaching but he insisted and somehow convinced me into taking the job offer. So now I'm a professor at Beacon Academy at seventeen, now to deal with that stinking pop up whatever that was

I open the door and step through only to be greeted with an avatar "Hello again it's me Cosmos" she greets me "Hi cosmos" I tell her "so why are you not an avatar like this outside?" I ask her curiously "Well I can I just wanted to introduce my self in here but I, unfortunately, timed it badly and ended up trying to get your attention mid-meeting, sorry about that, by the way." She explained "so is it a pretty basic game or are we talking about down to the letter precise?" I asked cosmos "Well it's pretty basic in terms of its UI and easy to learn but can get very complicated as you get better with handling the system" I nod before letting her continue "anyhow if you think up a skills menu you can learn about what skills you have" I do so and a menu comes up

I ask hoping for an answer "can't tell you, but what I can tell you however is if you think of an inventory it can store stuff, but before that, I recommend learning about some of the stats just click the question mark." Alright then it can't be too bad to do so I tap on the question mark for levels
Levels: pretty self-explanatory, you gain levels through exp. however in the Creation system, you can also gain levels through quests and shops "levels are the fools way of comparison, for me if you can fight and do it well, even if your only level 10 that's better than the level 100 who can't hit the broadside of a barn" - Marcus the indomitable
Ok cool let me learn about skills then, I go back to the skills menu and open the help menu
Skills: from basic to advanced you need skills to do well in the world. You learn them through creating skills, learning by word of mouth, or through a skill book "it is through the skills we learn that we as humanity can succeed and prosper" -Harry Nord the inventor
"So I'm probably gonna want a sorting system for them at some point right," I ask not expecting a satisfying answer
"yep but don't worry I'll do it for you when you need it" I nod and go learn about attributes and Titles
Attributes: basic and fundamental stats you can level up through self-distribution of points or of training for periods of time (all points affected by percentages and have a decimal will be rounded to the nearest whole number) "ya know like that classic tabletop game dungeons and dragons" -The Creator
Intelligence: how smart you are basically. (Increases Mp by 25 per point up to 50 points at which then you gain 15 mp per lvl for the rest of the time) Level this up by reading or doing intellectual activities for periods of time "I read for learning and you should too" -some English teacher
Strength: how hard you can punch or lift basically how strong you are (affects combat effectiveness for melee) level this up by going to the gym "me stronger than you" - Garnak the Barbarian
Wisdom: your experience made intelligence (affects mp regen every point increases regen by three points a minute up to 30 points at which point every point only increases by 1.5 points per minute) level up through experiencing life and doing stuff "youth is wasted on the young and wisdom is wasted on the old that's why wisdom sucks" - Sargent Mark Clark UNS Airborne Corps
Vitality: How healthy you are in a sense gain points for this by doing healthy things like exercise or dieting (it boosts your Hp by 100 per point until 30 points at which point it only goes up by 25 Hp per point invested)"that's the thing about games how they do health is unrealistic if I get shot in the heart I die but Angela over there because of her gamer system or whatever she can take 10 shots and live" - James Sherrywood the explorer and inventor
Luck: How lucky you are basically (points into this can increase the chance of a 'good' outcome at 100 points you can almost guarantee an outcome to be in your favor but you can only increase it through the point system to 30) "Did you know crows are a sign of bad luck? Cosmos nods and finishes the tutorial with a small explanation on how A) she's gonna be an avatar from now on and B) how the inventory works I.E. Infinite space as long as I don't mind scrolling for a bit to find an Item, so i dump 10 points into Charisma and with that, I exit the Pocket Dimension as she called it and head back into the real world only to realize that I've been in there for two hours and that not an hour has passed outside.

Well, now I guess the title as bad as it may sound certainly helps me with my charisma issue. Also jeez that's a huge number for my aura what kind of friggin thing did I do to earn that.
"ehh, nothing really you just got blessed with it and got lucky. I can assure you it has nothing to with the system, you would have had this either way." Cosmos explains, I go home, pack, say my goodbyes to my Family, and return to Beacon to be escorted to my own room away from the students that stayed at beacon over the break.
I finish hanging up the last of my clothing and step back to admire the room before I hear a knock at my door, ah well It was a nice moment while it lasted. I open the door and Ms. Goodwitch comes in with two binders in hand, well actually she's using her semblance to make them float, and a couple of books on teaching, other stuff like counseling and therapy, and some textbook for the classes that I will be shadowing. "Mr. Arc I do hope you're finding the room to be good?" I nod and ask about the books "why are there so many books ?" She smiles and tells me "Please call me Glynda and the binders are for Port's and Oobleck' classes respectively, meanwhile the books are for your benefit you did mention how you have no teaching experience so I got these books for you" how sweet of her I need to find a way to pay her back for those when I can "So Glynda do you not have a lesson plan for your class or do you teach something different?" I ask wondering where the binder for her class " RIght well I teach a combat class so I have two students fight each other and then critique it pointing out flaws and issues with how the two students fight."I nod and ask if she was going to place the books down or if she would want me to take them and sort them. She places them on my bed and tells me warmly "If you need any help please don't hesitate to ask me or any of the other professors." with that she left and shut the door behind her, once again I'm left alone to sort and decorate.
I finish decorating at 4 p.m. and I leave my room to go meet the other professors I stop by the history room first to meet professor oobleck, I knock on the door and wait. "Come in the door isn't locked" I walk in "hello I'm looking for a Professor Oobleck?" I yelp as a tall man with green hair zips over to me "Hello, there I'm DOCTOR Oobleck, I did not get a Phd. for fun. you are?" he asks me "well I'm Jaune Arc and I'm going to be shadowing you for your classes as I get my own. " I say nervously "Ahh yes well it's a pleasure to meet you mister Arc please let's sit and talk for a bit before you go to meet the other professors!" I nod and find a place to sit as we chat getting to know each other.
I finish up my conversation with Doctor Oobleck and I head over to Professor Ports class and meet him. I walk into the room and find him working on his large albeit well-maintained mustache. "Ahem, You are Professor Port correct?" I break his focus and he notices me "Ahh Lad you are a bit early for the class aren't you? I don't think Initiation has happened?" I remember just how old I look before responding "Oh right I look seventeen, well Professor I'm actually here to introduce my self, I'm Jaune Arc the new professor who's going to be shadowing your class." I say as confidently as I can "Well then and let us talk as I regale you in a story of my youth" I hope that his stories aren't nearly as long as my grandpa's
… OUM THEY'RE WORSE, how does a man talk for that long about capturing a beowolf?! I gonna go and get some food before going to clean myself up and heading to bed. I hope tomorrow is going to be better.
Author's Note: well the dear professor first day at Beacon seemed to go well, either way, this is a fic that I'm probably gonna take my time on and release it every other week and or I can keep up with writing both fics at the same time, If I can then this will be a weekly update as well. Also, next week's updates will probably be delayed or aren't there as of 3/8/19 I'm currently sick and will be taking it slow and work on just trying not to lose my mind at my sore throat.
