The night sky was full of stars when Mikan arrived at the hospital, a bouquet of flowers in her hands. Three days after Simca was found badly injured and bruised, the older girl decided to visit her lover. As she made her way to Simca's room, Mikan began to worry. 'What if...she knows that I'm responsible for her injuries?' she wondered.
As soon as Mikan opened the door, she saw that Simca was still awake, a small book present in her delicate hands. "Hey, baby! It's me!" Mikan exclaimed happily. Simca put down her book and grumbled, "Oh...it's you..."
Mikan winced and replied, "Man, what's wrong with you? I just came to see how my girlfriend's doing! I was really worried-" All of the sudden, Simca picked up a empty glass from the nightstand and tossed it at Mikan's head. Due to her sharp reflexes, Mikan easily dodged it.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ABOUT?" Mikan shouted, her face red with fury. Simca glared at the other girl and snarled, "Don't act like you don't know! It's your fault I've been injured, you bitch!" Mikan was afraid this would happen. She tried to respond, but her mouth wouldn't move.
"You...you let one of your own members attack me!" Simca screamed, her entire body shaking with anger and sadness. Tears were swelling up in her eyes. "Please...stop it...you're not making sense..." Mikan pleaded, hoping that her girlfriend would just shut up. Simca wiped her eyes and cried, "YOU BETRAYED ME!!! I MAY NEVER BE ABLE TO WALK AGAIN BECAUSE OF YOU! I HATE YOU, YOU GODDAMN BITCH!"
Mikan wasn't sure what to say. Her entire body and mind felt numb, except for one single thought that went through her head: Simca didn't love her anymore. Tossing the bouquet onto the floor, Mikan ran out of the room. Simca then lost control of herself and broke down crying.
When Mikan finally returned to the Noyamano household, it was past midnight and she was a complete mess. Her hair was messy, her clothes were torn and dirty, and a empty beer bottle was clenched tightly in her left hand. She looked like she had been crying for hours on end, as well.
Ringo, who was in the kitchen at the time, ran over to her sister and helped her into bed. As Ringo closed the door of Mikan's room, Shiraume walked up to her and asked, "Ringo...what's wrong with Mikan?" Ringo sighed and replied, "She...is heartbroken, Shiraume. Simca has broken up with her..."
