Rachel was sitting on the bed smiling and watching her girlfriend of five years getting dressed. Rachel mumbles "oh god babe you are such a tease!" eying her and smirking. Santana smiles and jumps on to the bed and cuddles Rachel close. "You're the tease baby" kisses her cheek and rubs her side softly. "Baby I need to talk to you about something."
Rachel sits up, "yeah what is it my love?" smiling thinking she's going to ask her to marry her. Rachel's mind was racing wishing Santana would just ask her to be her wife already.
Santana sighs nervously, "baby you and I have been together for 5 years exactly today and I was wondering if we could maybe try to have a baby I know you want kids and so do I but I understand if it's too soon still. I'd be willing to get pregnant I know you just got Maria and you need to work but I want to have a baby with you. So what do you think?"
Rachel's heart and mind were in two different places and she looks at Santana, "that's what you wanted to ask me? Not anything else just if we could try to get pregnant? Santana you don't understand how much you mean to me. I wish I could say yes but this is your choice I'm not your wife." She gets up and cries running into the bathroom collapsing.
Santana runs after her. "Rach come out please we need to talk about this. I have something I was going to ask you about tonight at dinner. I was going to ask you to marry me. I wanted to know if you were okay with the baby first. Rachel Barbra Berry you're the love of my life and I don't want anyone else but you! Please come out I need you to let me know you're okay."
Rachel gets up and looks at her, "are you just saying that because you don't want me to cry anymore? Or do you really want to be my wife? I don't want to be the girl who ties you down and you hate me forever because of it. I would hate myself forever if I hurt you and if you don't want this…"Santana cuts her off by kissing her. "I'll take that as a yes you want to be my wife" wraps her arms around Santana's neck and jumps on her and they make out until they go to their anniversary/engament dinner.
