Staring Into Oblivion
"He doesn't love me the way I love him," she said while taking a step closer to the ledge. Every thought that crossed her mind brought her closer and closer to the edge. "This way will be better for everyone," she said with a tear rolling down her cheek. With all her courage, she spread her wings and jumped into oblivion.
"I wonder where Aeris is?" he said thinking about how beautiful she is. The man went looking for her. After about thirteen minutes he saw her standing on a cliff. "I wonder what she's thinking about?" he said outloud to no one in particular. Then he saw her jump. He saw his angel jump from the cliff. He ran with inhuman speed and managed to catch her arm before she fell out of existince. He then pulled her up and put his arms around her. He could hear her sobbing into his chest.
"Aeris why did you do that?" he said to the girl in shock of what almost occured. "Why did you save me? I have no reason to carry on. The planet is not endanger and there's no one around here that needs me. So why did you save me," she said with tears streaming down her face. "How can you say that? Everyone needs you," he said trying to reassure her that she mattered to everyone. "Yeah name one person. Everyone else has someone so who would need me?" she asked still crying but with a hint of anger in her tone. Then it dawned on him. He loved her. All this time with her he never realized until now. Until it was almost too late. "I need you. I don't know what I would do if you were gone. So you're wrong. I need you," he said forcing back the tears that were forming on the corner of his eyes. "Cloud you're just saying that. You have Tifa. Why would you need me?" she said still trying to make herself beleive what she had done was the right thing. "What about Tifa? I love her as a friend and that's it. She knows it also. Aeris I love you with all of my heart. There is nothing that will change the way I feel about you," he managed to say between tears. She looked into his cerulean eyes as he looked into her emerald ones and then he kissed her. She was struck by this but made no motion to stop him. They looked serene as they embraced in the glow of the moonlight. "I love you Cloud with all my heart," she said after they broke from each other. They just sat there holding each other for what seemed years to them. The sun started to rise turning the sky into a canvas of reds and oranges. The duo stood up to watch the sun greet the day. The man held the angel in his arms while she said, "I love you Cloud Strife." He just looked at her then kissed her as the sun started to rise above the mountains. With a whisper to her, "I love you Aeris Gainsborough."
