A/N: Sorry if the details aren't quite right; it's been a while since I've read Loamhedge. No flames, please, but comments and constructive criticism are welcome. Enjoy!

"Now, you two, tomorrow is Abbot Carrul's birthday, so I expect no nonsense from you," Sister Jetta warned the two Dibbuns, waving a spoon at them.

"We wouldn't dream of doing anything, Sister Jetta," Bragoon said innocently, smiling up at the mouse. Sarobando nodded in agreement.

"You'd better not," the mouse warned, shaking the spoon. She gave them one last suspicious look before turning back to the pot of soup she was stirring. The two Dibbuns silently slipped out of the kitchen, heading for the gardens.

"So, what are we going to do?" Saro asked once they were out of Sister Jetta's earshot.

"It's got to be the cake this year. He won't expect that."

"What will we do with it? Last year was so funny!" The squirrel laughed as she remembered the look on Abbot Carrul's face as he bit down on a piece of delicious looking bread-only to find it stuffed full of flour clumps!

"Yes, but we have to do something different. Sister Jetta will remember the flour clumps …maybe salt in the frosting?"

"No, we did that with the October Ale the year before…" Their faces lit up as they thought of the exact same thing.

"Hotroot."

"Definitely."

"Brother Burne keeps some hidden behind the pepper."

"He'll be busy getting the food into the Great Hall."

"I think I can grab it, and we can put some into the frosting when Sister Jetta isn't looking!"

"Perfect!" The Dibbuns went off to prepare for their devious scheme.

"Thank you all for such a wonderful birthday," the Abbot finished. The Great Hall erupted into clapping. "Also, I would like to thank the Dibbuns Saro and Bragoon for not playing a food prank on me this year! That made it the best birthday I've ever had." He smiled warmly at the squirrel and otter, who were giggling as Sister Jetta placed a slice of cake in front of each of them.

"Abbot Carrul, enjoy your birthday cake!" The mouse said, taking her seat. The Abbot took a small bite of cake, and his face contorted as the hotroot pepper's flavor sunk in.

"Water," he choked, fanning his mouth. Sarobando and Bragoon burst out laughing.

A/N: Yeah, it was a little short, but I hope you liked it! :)
