When I awoke, I was in old ruins, but I was unsure where. I could not remember where I was or how I got there. I could recall my name, but I could not recall any memories of growing up or my life in this world. With a little prompting, I learned how to walk again, talk again, and I relied on others to help adjust to this world I could not recall.
Ahead of me, in these ruins, I saw a knight facing down a fierce dragon. He did not look familiar nor did he look like an enemy, but then again, would I remember enemies versus friends if I met either? Working as a team, we were able to escape the dragon, and I found myself in a world that just seemed unfamiliar.
Once in town, I found an ancient map of the local city and I began searching for answers. Here was a thriving city full of cattle, wheat, castles, and merchants. Someone here had to know something about my past. Without any knowledge of where I lived, who my family was, or a steady income, I began doing odd jobs for the local townsman, collecting armor, coins, and food along the way.
And so it started. Each step, each quest, and each new acquaintance is a key to information about this town, information that might lead to a hint or key to my past.
