Disclaimer: I do not own Degrassi
The idea for this little drabble came to me while I was listening to the song Out On The Town by Fun. If you've never heard it, you should give it a listen.

Eli pulled his jacket tighter around his body in an attempt to block out the chilly Toronto night air and looked up at the house in front of him. He wasn't quite sure how he ended up here. He was simply taking a walk in the hopes that it would help calm his nerves. He had felt like he was on the verge of an anxiety attack and needed to get out of the house immediately.
He remembered stepping into his shoes, slipping on his coat, and yelling to Cece that he would be back before exiting the house and slamming the door behind him. He buried his hands in his pockets, put his head down, and just walked.
Fifteen minutes later, he was standing in front of Clare Edwards' house. He kicked at the cracked sidewalk below his feet. Why was he here? Why had his feet led him here? He and Clare were broken up. Done. Over. Eli knew all of this, so why had he decided to come here?
Eli looked down and spotted a small stone. He stooped and picked it up. He turned it over and over in his hand before rubbing his thumb along the jagged edges. He wanted to send the small, rough stone sailing towards Clare's window.
Because he missed her. Because he wanted to throw that stone at her window and have her open it, give him that encouraging smile she always gave, and then beckon for him to join her. He wanted to climb through her window like he always used to do when he was feeling this way. He wanted to talk to her like they used to. He wanted her to hold him and tell him that everything in his fucked up world was going to be ok. But he couldn't. He no longer had that right.
With a small sigh, he let the stone slip through his fingers. He watched as it clattered to the ground. Looking up at Clare's house one more time, he stuffed his hands deep into the pockets of his coat, turned on his heel, and headed back in the direction he had come from.
