The king stood there.

He seemed to be examining my appearance for another time. My appearance is one of the only reasons I stand here.

There is nothing wrong with that, because it seems as if I stand before a man of ambition in which I found to love.

He finally raises his head, and looks me straight in the eyes seeming to feel the lustrous energy I am giving off.

He hasn't taken his eyes from my eyes and I start to examine his eyes.

It seems as if he is looking at me the same way, its almost as if I was looking at a mirror image of my face.

He finally spoke, "I'm not scaring you am I?"

I was struggling to find my words, but they came out "No, Your Majesty."

"Please call me Henry. The "Your Majesty's and Your Highness" are left at the door."

"I'm sorry….Henry."

At that he closed his eyes and seemed to be delighted at the sound of his name on my lips.

"I've been waiting and wanting to hear my name spoken, by you." He came closer, motioning for me to come closer.

I did as commanded, not knowing what to do nor say next.

"Mary…I…." he struggled.

"Yes?"

"I don't know how to say this without sounding like a complete idiot."

"You can say anything to me."

He took that in and said "Mary, I am married, and I thought I knew who my real love was. But now as you stand before me, I seem to be mesmerized by you. I've never felt this way about any woman I've ever seen in court." He looked up at me then.

I still didn't know what to say.

"Am I making you uncomfortable? If I am, I don't mean too. Its just that is how I feel about you. How do you feel about me?" He was looking at my face with pure curiosity and wanting an answer out of his mistress.

"I…feel the same way. I've never felt this way about anyone before, either. You captivate me." I felt my cheeks blush. I looked at his face, and there was a huge pleasuring smile.

"That's good to know, Mary. I am very happy to hear this."

"I am happy to please you….Henry." At the sound of his name he closed his eyes again, and seemed to be overly pleased again.

He came closer and said "You don't know how much it pleases me to hear my name on my love's lips.

Can I get you anything to make you more comfortable?"

"Could you maybe ask one of your servants to fetch me a glass of water?"
At that, he helped assist me in taking off my robe, and put it on a chair. He motioned for me to sit, and he came over with a glass of water.

"There. There are no servants, except for yours truly" he smiled.

"Thank you, Henry." He closed his eyes again in pleasure.

He opened them and said "Mary, I feel that I can trust you truthfully."

"As do I."

"I'm always lied to numerous times daily. Now tell me something."

"What would that be?"

"Do you think this feeling you posses for me is love?"

I thought and said "Yes I do Henry."

He smiled at that and took his hand and put it under my chin. He seemed to be examining my neck. He then came up in a swift movement and kissed me gently for the first time.

I looked at him, examining his face which was inches away from my own.

We stared at each other for a while, then I moved towards him and he kissed me harder and more passionately, as the night drifted away.
