"Promise me we will be best friends forever and ever." Astrid whispered as she fought the tears that were threatening to escape, making her throat burn. Her nails dug into her palms as Scorpius and she hid under her bed.
Scorpius nodded, eyes wide with worry.
Astrid had been acting stranger and stranger each passing day and he didn't know why.
"Promise me." Astrid begged him.
Taking her hands so she's stop hurting herself he interlocked both of his thumbs with hers, making a bird with their hands.
It was how they made their pinky promises.
"I promise Astrid. I promise we will be best friends forever and ever."
She let out the breath that she had held and pecked his lips, pulling her hands and turning her head away from him as she whispered the last word that he spoke.
AN: Hello there, the inspiration behind this was from the AU Meme from mindofyoungbutcuriousgirl over at Tumblr. The gifs were very Albus/Astrid but the words were so Scorpius/Astrid. Astrid Nott is my O.C. and we'll see where this goes.
