Twisted Flesh; A challenge to all my followers, readers and reviewers:

I know that I haven't posted anything as of late (As many of you are prone to reminding me) and I can promise that I am currently working on Book of the Scourge as we speak. It is why this is a challenge instead of the ground work for a new story of my own. That and I wanted to throw this idea out into the garden that is the internet and witness what grows because of it.

Thanks to the recent Mists of Pandaria expansion (Honestly one of my favourite expansions to date) the World of Warcraft community has been introduced to many new and wondrous things. This idea has been bouncing around in my head since I took the time to look into the Lore behind the Mogu and it is only after the Thunder King expansion that the idea has fully taken form.

The challenge is simple: Lei Shen the Thunder King witnessed a faction of Kurama's / Kyuubi's power after the Mogu managed to capture one Naruto Uzumaki. Admiring it's power but aware that the Nine Tailed Fox would be next to impossible to truly bring into the fold as a loyal servant / slave of the Mogu Empire, the Thunder King turns the boy over to the Fleshcrafters and Soul Shapers in order to fuse the human and the powerful fox spirit together in both body and soul with the intention of the end result having the Kyuubi's divine power but be much easier to control due to the mortal limitations forced upon it.

Now for the rules of this challenge:

Regardless of the plot, characters and so on, the Mogu must have at least –STARTED- the fusion process before Naruto can either be rescued or escape. How far gone or stable our favourite naïve knucklehead is at the time is completely up to the author but something has to happen to him under the care of Mogu magics. It can be as upfront or as subtle as you like as long as it is there.

The Bijuu (or Tailed Beasts as they might otherwise be known) are not in fact demons like the humans of the Elemental Nations claim them to be. In fact, they are the animal gods of a tribe of trolls that once had an empire spanning the Elemental nations countless years prior to the canon story. Due to the raise of humanity and the creation of shinobi, this troll empire has mostly destroyed and is suspected to be extinct; however nobody really knows for sure and it is possible that this tribe is still around but in hiding.

And that's it. Those are the only two rules you have to stand by for this challenge and even then there is room for interoperation depending on what sort of story you wish to write. To use what is no doubt a minion saying in Konoha 'We've planted the seed, now all we can do is sit back and watch what happens.'
