Presenting...

Thalia.

She was turning thousand today.

Being immortal had its perks, she didn't have to fear disease and she was forever young, full of spirit and energy and yet some days, like today, she missed being a demigod. Being a huntress was amazing.

The rush of adrenaline before every hunt, the feeling of having a family, something that never really lasted for her before, the sisterhood, for lack of a better word and honestly she couldn't be bothered to try and find a better one despite how old and utterly weird "sisterhood" sounded, was a feeling she cherished and she loved the hunts themselves. Giving free reign to her powers, the wind through her hair and her feet firmly on the ground s she let loose her arrows. Powerful. Joyous. Fast. Immortal. Part of a whole.

A huntress of Artemis.

In her long life, and does that not sound funny coming from her sixteen year old body? She had seen a lot of people come and go. Okay, maybe she hadn't seen that many being preoccupied by the hunt and how immortals rarely mingled with the mortals but each time she visited camp, something seemed to change. The Gods had moved from America, they were in Brazil for a few years now.

Chiron had not moved camp though. He thought Long Island was close enough to the flame of the West and that it would take a lot of magic to shift camp, anyway. Thalia knew, though, that he was planning to shift the camp when the present generation of demigods died and he could start over once again. It sounded callous but the truth was what it was. When you are immortal, death begins to seem insignificant. Mortals being to seem insignificant. She understood the Gods better now and hated herself for it and them too. Thank them, that she could still be slain in better and thus still understood mortality to an extent. Yet, Thalia Grce was a warrior and she wasn't going down easy in any battle or war, if she died, she would die in the service of Artemis, bringing honor to the goddess like Zoe Nightshade had before her.

Zoe, the daughter of Atlas, the one who had fought with Percy, Bianca and her to help rescue Annabeth. Annabeth, the young girl who was the sister Thalia had never had before she joined the hunt.

She had seen two of Annabeth's lives already. One where they had fought Luke, oh Luke, together. Another where Percy and her had saved the world again.

If they were trying for three lives, and knowing them they were, she hoped she would know them this time too. It would be hard but they were family. The only ones, she had seen, from the original demigods as she called them.

Jason, she didn't think either Piper or him, had been born even once again after their deaths yet and neither had Nico. Bianca had, she had heard, but she never could find the woman. Leo, she had heard had completed all three lives but she hadn't seen him. Maybe he was one of the demigods she saw when she went to camp? Perhaps. She didn't know him well enough to care much though. Jason, on the other hand, her brother, well she wished him the best. Him and Luke. Had Luke completed his three lives? Where was he now? Tartarus? The fields? Esylium? Earth? Where?

It didn't matter. Not anymore.

Smiling, she left to celebrate with her sisters from the hunt. They had a big hunt prepared in her honor today and she couldn't be happier.
