Disclaimer: Don't own. Don't sue. Thank you.

I don't own the song, I don't own the anime. This is a bit of a crack pairing, between Deidara and Sakura. Very OOC. Also kind of Mary Sue-ish. I'm really sorry about that. Not up to par with my usual song fics, I know and I apologize for that also, I just love the song so much.

This is my first Naruto fic, don't kill me. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but please don't just say that it sucks. I already know this, so can we move along a little? Thanks.

Miss C.

(p.s. The song is by Hayley Westenra. Listen to it sometime if you get the chance, it's really good.)

"Dark Waltz"

She sat waiting for his dark presence to grace the shadows of the forest. His dark cloak blended in nicely, just as he did. A dark shadow of a man. Never really here nor there, his dark presence lingering only long enough for the merest brush of contact before once again being swept away. How she longed for the day they could stand tall and proud, The sunlight burning away at the shadows that had cloaked them for so long.

We are the lucky ones
We shine like a thousand suns
When all of the colors runs together

Unlikely as that was, she couldn't help but hope. Peace has a price. When the war was over… when the war was over, she could dream. There was little hope of her actual survival until then, she reminded herself, fratinizing with the enemy like this.

I'll keep you company
In one glorious harmony
Waltzing with destiny forever

Dance me into the night
Underneath the moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light

Time dancers whirling past
I gaze through the looking glass
And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven

A light breeze caressed her cheek, like the fingers of a lost lover, tugging wisps of pink hair into her face. She shut her eyes, blinking away tears that threatened to fall.

Sacred geometry
Where movement is poetry
Visions of you and me forever

Dance me into the night
Underneath the full moon shining so bright
Turning me into the light

Moonlight spilled softly into the clearing, throwing the trees into sharp relief, and suddenly he was standing before her. His liquid gold hair brushed her cheek, his grey eyes sparkling silver in the full moon's light.

Dance me into the night
Underneath the full moon shining so bright
Let the dark waltz begin
Oh let me wheel - let me spin

His lips met hers and her hands clasped his as they stood in the clearing beneath the silver light.

Let it take me again
Turning me into the light
