Comment: I honestly have no idea what made me watch the
"Charlie The Unicorn" YouTube video while pondering about
drabble ideas. Anyway, this was written for the "Stowaway"
contest over at the Digimon Drabbles LJ community. And as a general
comment, I'd like to thank all the people who commented on the stuff
I posted yesterday. Seriously, you guys rock! But
yeah, drabble time. Have fun!
"Hey, Yolei! It's me, Kari!"
Gatomon rolled her eyes. Phones had clearly been invented by people who didn't want cats to spend quality time with their pet humans. And Kari chatting with Yolei was especially bad since Yolei rarely stopped talking.Well, at least the phone's in the corridor. That means that I got her room all for myself. She hopped onto Kari's bed and scratched herself behind her ears, getting ready for a nap.
"Hold on, speak slowly!" Kari suddenly said. "What do you mean with finding a map?"
Gatomon frowned lightly and cocked her head. Map?
"Candy Mountain? You gotta be-... you're serious? In the DigiWorld?"
Oh boy. Yolei's starting a harebrained adventure again. Well, they can go without me!
"A land of sweets and joy and joyness? You sure? As much candy as you can eat? Sounds great!"
The cat blinked. She trusted Kari, and if Kari believed it...
"Sure, I'll bring my backpack! ...nah, no need to take Gatomon along. More candy left for us!"
You wish! Gatomon grinned smugly. If you think you can go to Candy Mountain without me, you're in for a surprise! Nobody outwits Gatomon! After a graceful leap, she was in Kari's backpack and quickly closed the zipper. Candy Mountain, here I come!
Yolei sighed quietly as she waited next to the full bathtub. Is she actually gonna fall for something this silly? She adjusted the padded sweater Kari had given her and made sure the shampoo and washcloth was in reach. Man, I'd rather fight LadyDevimon again... it'd be less scary than this...
But it was too late to back out now. Kari tiptoed into the bathroom and held her backpack above the warm water. Moving one hand to the zipper, she mouthed a countdown: Three... two... one...
