"Hey Tony." He nodded back, grabbed his cup of coffee and left as the rest of the team sitting at the kitchen table stared.

"He's a mess." Clint said blatantly.

"What do you think is bothering him?"

"You never know with him."

"Hey, Jarvis? What's up with Tony."

"Purple flamingos ate his puppy. I'm sorry that is what I am required to say."

"Well, that's secretive enough to make me interested."

"I really don't think you should pry, Master Barton."

"So, this is serious?"

"Extremely, yes."

"Even more reason to pry then!"

"I can answer certain questions that he does not have a lock on."

"Okay…. Does it have something to do with the date?"

"Yes."

"Is it someone's birthday?"

"No."

"Did someone die?"

"His tacos flew away. I'm sorry, locked question."

"So yes, then?"

"Yes."

"Recently."

"No."

"How long ago?"

"When he was child."

"Male or female?"

"Male."

"Adult or child?"

"Adult."

"Was it one of his teachers?"

"No, they were very close." They all thought.

"Was it Jarvis?" Natasha asked.

"Elephants in the garage stole my bike."

"Who's Jarvis?"

"The man I was named after."

"I thought that stood for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System?"

"Edwin Jarvis was one of Sirs butlers as a child. He was one of his first and only friends. He passed away when- I'm sorry, it seems that Sir is overriding me."

"Jarvis?"

"… I think Tony shut him down."

"Anyone notice how Tony's been really down lately?" Clint asked at breakfast one morning.

"Well, he did make Ultron and kill a lot of people, I would be down too." Natasha answered.

"No, it's seems like more than that. Friday, why is Tony acting so weird?"

"Purple flamingos ate his puppy."

"Snooping time. Friday, who died?"

"I am not entitled to answer that question."

"Is it the date?"

"No."

"Was it recent?"

"Yes."

"Adult or kid?"

"I am unsure how to answer that."

"What do you mean?"

"He was not a human, so he was neither an adult nor a kid. He was one of Master Tony's best friends." They all thought for a moment.

"Was it Jarvis?"

"Elephants in the garage stole my bike."

"He's mourning the loss of his AI?"

"Jarvis was one of the first things and only things that master Tony made that he was proud of. He was made at age 5 and has been growing up with Tony ever since. Master Tony considered him as a best friend, and he is at lost with what to do without him."

"Isn't that why you're here though, Friday?"

"Jarvis was one of a kind. He was more man than machine. Master Tony believes that he killed his best friend."

"How can we help him?...Friday?"

"I think Tony shut her down."
