Chapter 1:

Hermione's POV

I awoke and went to the Gryffindor common room. I thought my eyes decived me. They didn't. I turned around and tried to escape, but I wasn't fast enough.

"Hello Mudblood," I heard in a surprisingly unharsh, yet familar voice from behind. I turned to see none other then stuck-up, "daddy's-boy" Draco Malfoy. He had a smile on his face. I knew almost instantly this didn't mean good. "Well are you just going to stand there staring at me?" He spoke once again.

"What are you doing here, Malfoy?" I spoke finally.

"What? I can't pick on you before breakfast? When did that become a rule?" He said in his normal rude voice, but with a dashing smile.

"I-Iiii just umm am... tired." I stuttered unsure of what to actually say.

"Sure you are, Granger, sure," He said sarcastically.

"Whatever you think. Malfoy," I poked him, "We're going to be late for breakfast, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to be seen with 'Mudblood'."

"You're right. I should be seen with a mudblood. Exspecially you, Granger," He said this more harsh than he normally does. It actually kinda hurt.

I watched him walked out of the common room. I stood there frozen. What the blood hell is wrong with me. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I jumped. "Relax, Hermione. It's just us." I turned to see my best friends, Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter. I took a deep breathe and put on a fake smile.

"Oh hello."

"Are you okay, Hermione?" Harry asked with complete sympathy. I just looked at him. I honestly wasn't sure. I just stood there. "Hermione!" I jumped.

"Yeah, yeah of course. Lets go to breakfast." I said timidly . I still very unsure if I'm 'okay.' Ron, Harry, and I went into the dinning area.

The whole time we were at breakfast, Ron kept giving me sympathetic looks. I just looked down. We sat in silence for awhile. Harry finally said something. It was definately something I didn't want to hear.

"Neville told me that Draco was in the common room this morning. I just wonder who he was trying to pick on."

"I don't really think it is any of our business, Harry." I said kind of harshly. Harry and Ron just looked at me, confused. I honestly didn't know what was happening. Why did I care about Draco Malfoy? He HATES me anyway.

I just looked down at my food while Harry and Ron whispered about the situtation the whole time. I finished eating and I looked up for the first time in about 20 minutes. I locked eyes with beautiful oceanic-grey eyes. I looked up from the eyes and saw bright blonde hair. I looked below his eyes and saw the same charming smile I saw this morning. It was Draco. I uncontrollably smiled and blushed. We locked our gaze for a good minute and a half.

What is happening? I can't like Draco. Can I? No way. Right?

I really hoped you guys liked it. I will be uploading a new chapter soon. Leave any R&R if you would like :)
