Watching You
I watch you as you sleep and as you dream. I wonder if I am in those dreams with you. I feel you breathe right next to me, your raven hair flowing on the pillow.
And still I watch.
I see you deep in elven sleep. Lost in your reverie. You mumbles words I do not understand. I caress your face when you shift in nightmare.
And Still I watch.
You turn to the side. I see your eyes open and I smile at you. You ask if I have slept yet and when my answer is no, you ask me if you have kept me awake. I smile at you and kiss your forehead. You fall back into your dream.
And Still I watch.
You wake again from your nightmare and you cling to me. I tell you it will be alright and you ask me to stay with you forever and never stray from your side.
And Still I watch
You sit up in the bed and rest your head on my shoulder. Your raven hair spills down in a perfect contrast to my hair of silver. You seem tired still and next thing I know, you are drifting back to sleep again.
And Still I watch
I hear your voice say the words I always love to hear escape you before you fall into your sleep.
" I love you Celeborn."
I smile to you, even though you cannot see it.
" I love you too Erestor."
