"Taylor!"

"What?"

"I need help!"

"With what?"

"Marie's picture is better than mine!"

Marie grinned at her younger sister. Taylor sighed. She hated babysitting, especially for this particular family who had little rules and no manners.

"Well, maybe Marie is a better artist…" Taylor said, picking up some of the mess Marie had previously made with a bucket of paint and lots of silver glitter. Kenzie looked at her, and her eyes started to water. 'Oh no, not again! Taylor thought to herself.

"YOU HATE MY PICTURE!"

"I never said that!"

"YOU SAID MARIE WAS A BETTER ARTIST!" screamed Kenzie, now red in the face with a stream of teas falling down her face.

Taylor stood up. "Oh, boy, look at the clock. Bed time!"

"It's 6:00!"

"OH... that clock's wrong." Taylor lied, leading the girls up to their room to get ready for bed. Forty five minutes later, after three stories, two glasses of milk, four cookies, two tantrums, and a new bruise on Taylor's leg, they were finally asleep.

Taylor walked to the living room to find that the TV was broken. She went to the refrigerator to find pizza, soda, candy, ice cream, pudding, pie, and cookies of all sort- NOTHING healthy. Taylor sighed; she was a healthy eater. She went to the living room again and sat down, trying to take a rest. When she was almost asleep, the phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Taylor?"

"Oh, hi Mrs. Liveska."

"Can you possibly stay any longer?"

"Um…" Taylor searched her mind. There was no way she was staying any longer, she knew that. She quickly made up a lie. "Well, I have to be somewhere."

"…At 11:45?"

"Yeah."

"Oh…okay, I'll be back in about ten minutes."

"Alright."

"Bye."

She quickly hung up the phone and called Gaby. She could tell Gaby had been asleep.

"Mmm…Hello?"

"Gabriella?"

"Hey, Taylor. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, but I have to get out of this stupid house."

"Aww, I'll come pick you up."

"No…you were asleep."

"Nah, it's okay. When should I pick you up?"

"In about ten minutes…are you sure you don't mind?"

"Yeah, don't worry about it!"

"I feel bad."

"Ehh, what are friends for?"

"Haha, okay. I'll see you in a bit."

As she hung up the hone, she thought about what Gabriella said. 'What are friends for?' she thought…And it was true. As she gathered all her things together, she felt lucky to have good friends. High school was hard…Boys were hard…LIFE was hard, but having her friends along with her made everything a lot easier...
