Okay I haven't been writing lately and I'm feeling guilty. So…I've written another one-shot (well not yet I'm still working on the author's note!)
Now to our feature presentation…

Forever Young
"I'm fine!"
That was always his answer…
"Seriously! I'm alright!"
And it was always a lie…

"Naruto get some rest, you look ill."
Naruto had stared at him. No one had ever noticed before…
He hadn't let them.
But he quickly recovered and said the words he would soon start to hate.
"I'm alright."

When he started fainting was when his team became concerned.
"Naruto you should really go to a doctor, this is getting serious!"
But he needed no doctor; he already knew what was wrong.

It eventually came to the point were his sensei took it upon himself to get him diagnosed…
"Naruto this is getting ridiculous! Just go to the doctor!"
"No! I've told you I'm fine!"
"You don't expect me to believe that do you?"
Naruto shrugged.
Unfortunately his body decided to betray him and a dizzy spell blurred his senses and he fell to the ground.
He awoke in a white hospital room, only the beeping of a heart monitor could be heard.
He was released the next day. They could do nothing for him.

Iruka avoided him for a week before he finally got up the courage to confront Naruto.
"Naruto I'm sorry I…I don't know what to say…"
Tears had filled his eyes at that point and he hugged Naruto tightly.
And didn't let go.
He didn't know if he'd ever get the chance again.
Naruto was terminal.
