I do not want to be watched or restricted,
I do not want to be controlled or ordered around.
Only I can tell me what to do or say,
For I belong only to me.
I will not lower my head and be subservient,
I will not live in a cage and be terrified.
I am nobody's property,
I belong to me.
My body will be moved by no one,

If I want to stay, nothing can make me leave,
If I want to leave, nothing can stop me.
I will go on by myself and not turn back,
The sun in my kingdom shall shine my way.
What is it to you what I wish to do?
I have my own life that no one else can live.
My own path leads to my own ends that awaits only me,
Along with my own mind, my own spirit, and my own dreams.
Sometime or someday, I will be free,
I will share my own joy, and my own sadness.
I will have the privilege that I deserve no matter what,
I can fly in the sky or sink in the sea.
But do not demand my life which I cannot give,
For I belong forever only to me.
