hello, my name is lorinda and i just moved here to highland park, illinois.
I just turned 16. i had a great sweet sixteen party. it was absolutely perfect.
but my life turned upside down when my mom told me we were moving here where i live right now. i didnt like it at all.when i got there i still didnt like it.
my mom was saying that i would change my mind when i got here but that didnt happen.
i felt like a nobody when i started school. highland park high. yup that was it.
everybody was looking at me like they'd never seen a human before. it was creepy.
until this guy looked at me, because he wasnt creepy. he was smiling.
i smiled back while looking for my locker. apperantly my locker was three down from his.
He smirked and said 'hi, im kevin'. hi, im lorinda' i said and we shook hands.
'uhm, are you new here?' he asked. 'yes' i said and put my books in the locker.
'Nice to meet you' he said. 'you too' i said, i closed my locker and smiled at him.
'what grade u in?' he asked as he put on his jacket. 'freshman' i said and smirked.
'cool, im sophomore!' he said a bit excited. i laughed quietly to myself.
'would you let me walk you to class?' he asked as he looked down on the floor.
'sure' i said and we walked down the hall.
we stopped outside of my classroom. i had science fist period.
'i can see you are taking science?' as he looked at the door and then at me again.
'i guess i'll see you at lunch?' i said and tried to look cute but ended up looking weird.
'i guess so' he said while laughing. i blushed.i was so embarressed. He walked away and i turned around. i walked in the door to my classroom. i thougfht to myself 'oh great, more creepy ppl looking at me'. 'ok you guys, we got a new student with us today!' the teacher said. 'class, this is lorinda escandone' she said.
'its e-s-c-a-n-d-o-n!!' i said annoyed. the class laughed at the teacher.
she looked grumpy after the class laughed at her. i rolled my eyes, and took a seat all the way in the back. i got through the class. it was barely. because it was dead boring.
i almost fell asleep.
i walked out of the classroom towards my locker. Suddenly Kevin came running.
'heey!' he said while breathing heavy. ' what have you been doing?'i said looking at him raising one eyebrow. he chuckled ' i ran for you, cant u see'.i giggled. 'god this place is huge' i said while looking around. 'you want me to show you around?' he asked with a big smile on his face.
'i'd love that' i laughed. i didnt get the time to put my bag in my locker before i swooped me off the floor and took my arm, running. 'whoooah, be careful kevin!' i screamed while laughing at the same time.
he dragged me outside and was on his way to outside of school property.i got sceptical to this.
'uuh, kevin where are we going?' i said and swollowed hard. 'wait and see' he said and smirked.
