They watched with forlorn faces as the alien Princesses filed pass them. Then the girls stopped, looked at each other, and turned back. The eldest leaned into the blue-wearing turtle, wrapping her arms around him and rubbing her fur against his hard shell. "Thank you," she purred, "forrr all you've done forrr my sisterrrs and I."
Leonardo swallowed hard and fought to quell his body's immediate reaction. These catwomen were definitely the friendliest rescuees ever! "You're . . . " He swallowed hard again as her purr deepened. "You're quite welcome."
Michelangelo bounded up. "Are you sure you can't stay a little while longer?"
The girl who had become his best friend for a short while, sharing his every joke and helping him prank every present member of both their families, wrapped her arms around him in a gentle hug. She smiled up at him, her blue eyes sparkling. "I wish we could," she admitted, her long tail swishing before curling around his lean, muscular leg, "but our people must be so worried."
"Besides," the catwoman with the darkest shade of cream and chocolate fur added, "we left in the middle of a war." Her green eyes met Raphael's dark orbs. "We must return so we can grant our foes the slaughter they deserve." Her tail swished; he sighed inwardly, remarking silently that he'd never met a woman like her before and knowing he never would again.
"It is regrettable," the fourth catwoman agreed, a sad mew escaping her furry lips. Her long tail twitched. "I do wish we had longer. Parting may be such sweet sorrow, but staying," she admitted softly, her fur turning a darker shade as she slowly raised her eyes to meet Donatello's, "would be even sweeter."
The purple-banded turtle blushed, and for a change, his brothers were too busy fighting the heat crawling up their own bodies to make fun of him. He took his special friend's paws in his own, green hands. His six fingers pressed gently against her fur. "We do wish you could stay longer, but we understand. Family always comes first. We will never forget you."
"Norrr us you," she purred. He melted on the spot as she kissed him.
Raphael snorted and raised his sais into the air. "I still say we should go with you and kick those Robotic Reptilians' butts!"
"That is very brave of you," the dark warrioress acknowledged, "but you've your own war here. My sister and your brother are right, however: We will never forget you."
The catwomen tightly hugged their favorite Turtles and kissed them passionately one last time. Then the Earthlings watched as their alien lovers boarded their spaceship and flew away. Leonardo sighed wistfully, speaking for them all as he asked the hot and steamy air, "Why don't we ever end up getting the girl?"
His brothers clasped his shoulders, each sharing his lament and none having an answer that would ease their regret. They'd had women, but they never lasted and had and would never again before be so purrfect.
The End
