It was December 25th, and everyone at Grimmauld place, for once, was happy. Even Sirius, who had been belting out 'god rest ye merry hippogriffs' at the top of his lungs for the past week. Everyone except Harry Potter. Harry knew that soon, he would have to go back to Hogwarts, and face her. Umbridge. A woman who dared disrespect Cedric, a woman who dared treat them like four year olds in their O.W.L year. A woman who dared force him to cut his skin open every night for saying what was right.

The thought of Umbridge had made Harry feel sick, and he looked at his Christmas dinner in disgust. 'Are you alright Harry dear?' Asked Mrs Weasley, who always seemed to notice when something was bothering one of her 'children'. Sirius also looked round worriedly from talking to the twins, searching Harry's face, trying to find what was wrong. 'Nothing.' Lied Harry. 'I just...don't feel very well, that's all.' Ron looked at him, obviously having worked out what was really wrong, and said. 'I'll take Harry up to our room mum.'
'Thanks Ronnie dear.' Said Mrs Weasley, going back to serving yet more food.

'Harry.' Said Ron, once they got upstairs. 'It's obviously bothering you! Tell someone!'
'But she will have...'
'Got to you. Yeah. But look at what she's forcing you to do! Tell Dumbledore, tell Sirius, tell-'
'Tell me what?' Asked a voice from the doorway
'Hi Sirius.' Said Ron 'I'll just leave you two to, umm, talk' he tried to ignore the death glares Harry was sending him.

Sirius swooped down on Ron's place in an instant, staring at Harry with worried grey eyes. 'Harry' he began 'What's happened?' Would it be so bad if he told Sirius? Or would Sirius do something reckless? While this debate went on in his head, he opted for a non-committal grunt. 'Harry.' Said Sirius again. He needed to tell someone. Sirius would be best for that. Right? 'Detention.' Harry said shortly. 'Why would detention-' Sirius started.
'With Umbridge.' Said Harry.
'What did she make you do?' Asked Sirius, already growing angry. Harry simply rolled up his sleeve to show him his hand. Sirius began to shake his head 'No. No no no no no! This-why? Why didn't you tell anyone about this?! We could've helped!'
'That's why I didn't tell anyone.' Said Harry, shaking. 'Because then she would've known she'd got to me' Sirius pulled Harry into a hug.
'You're such an idiot.' He mumbled, a few tears in his eyes. 'But we'll get through this.'
