To Much Chocolate
Scorpious POV
I slammed the fridge door, shaking the milk sideways. It's one of those things I do to annoy Lilly. I slid a chair an inch away from the small table and sat down. I looked around to see if anyone was near. It was clear. I tipped the milk carton and started to drink.
"How come you can drink from the cartoon and I can't." I choked on my milk and snapped my head around. My nine-year-old daughter smiled at me.
"Because your mom isn't home." She nodded, not buying my lame accuse one bit. "So Samantha why are you here anyways."
"I live here." I snorted. " AJ ate to much chocolate." I looked at her bewildered.
"Whose AJ?" I asked. I've never met an AJ in my life. I didn't even know there was such a name until she told me.
"My gold fish." She answered me sadly shaking her head.
"Since when have you ever had a gold fish?" I stated.
"Since I found him on the driveway about five minutes ago." She shrugged.
"How did he eat chocolate." Her face turned into a big grin.
"Since he's so small, I thought I'd help him get bigger. So I started to shove the chocolate down his throat." Her smile dropped. "But then he wasn't swimming anymore. He was floating on top of the water in the bathtub. "
"Sam it's okay." I said as I pulled her into a hug. "I've killed many of my pets before.
Her face got big. "You're a murder. Are you going to kill me to."
"No…your mom would kill me if I did." I sighed and turned around to see Lilly standing there laughing."
"Care to explain why our daughter is hiding behind the couch?"
"AJ ate to much chocolate."
