The soothing feel of the night comforted her slightly. She felt both alone and accompanied. None being truly absolute, she felt lost. Looking into the darkened sky, she wondered who else was looking into the same sky she was.
Chrome got up off the steps she used as a seat and entered the wrecked building she called home. A little hesitant, she looked around the empty room, afraid Ken might be up to yell at her. She quickly made her way into a room. Once again, she sat down on the floor and leaned against the cool wall. Her eyelids fell tight wishing to make contact with him.
If the two were one person, they might be able to share the same pain...
She couldn't do it. All she wanted was to see him, to help him. Being connected, could she share his pain and help him?
I want to sing for my dear person,
though I don't know if he's listening or not
so at least I want to continue
Even I don't know the reason why I have to.
Slowly and unevenly, she began to sing quietly. Once again she closed her eyes. Her voice became smoother.
If the two were one person, they wouldn't be able to meet
she felt a breeze caress her cheek.
She opened her eyes. A smile.
The smile that I love the most
I didn't know that one smile
Can inspire me such courage,
She began to shake
make my voice tremble,
And explain everything.
